    I m pleased it was Terryl Givens who authored this volume in the American Religious Experience series For the scholars and the curious, it gives a fair and knowledgeable presentation of LDS beliefs, history, and practices Givens is a believer, but one whose eyes are wide open.

    Though this is written for non members, I learned a lot about my own religion Hearing doctrine explained to non believers gave me a new perspective on several issues which ultimately buoyed my own faith.
