I liked this a lot very simple yet vibrant animal pictures with some slight texturing Lu seemed to enjoy that part That said it was funny to me how the movement words crawl climb etc didn't really seem to be represented in the illustrations at all the animals in the pictures weren't actually DOING anything I'm sure that's a nuance that doesn't bother babies in the slightest

The pictures are enticing with bright bold colors and soft shapes In particular each spread makes nice use of complimentary or contrasting colors The textures might be pretty interesting for an older baby interested in touching the pages but for us the extra thick pages just mean that there's not a lot of content with just the one verb and animal on each page

This is a very simple board book About five animals are introduced each with a sound The pictures are colorful and have textures The page on the left enlarges the texture and a color pattern then that texture and pattern can be found on the animal Best for babies just learning about animals who are still really into handling a book
