I think this would be a good book to recommend to someone who might not understand what it's like to go through dealing with an invisible illness or for someone who is newly diagnosed with something It definitely lets you know that you're not alone I think this would've been interesting to me when I was first going through the health problems I'm dealing with now I got a little bored with it since I'm already so familiar with everything she is describing but I did find the personal stories at the end of the book to be the most interesting part for me though

It is basically a collection of stories of people with chronic invisible illnesses It has its place when you feel like you are needing some sort of validation of not being alone I've heard many of these stories from other people No discredit there's much to be gained by listening and applying aspects to your own life But I'm at that stage where I want practical straight forward advice So far How To Be Sick has been the best book for me crappy sounding title but it's great
