As somebody was saying in here this book is a history of Orthodoxy's participation in the Ecumenial movement I can say that this is not a book that can be easily read by anyone so if you are looking for a light book on Christianity you might want to try another book If you are looking for a thesis on Orthodoxy consider this book It is an introduction to the Orthodox Church so if you want a depth in study and you are a novice this is the book for you

I enjoy Florovsky's perspective but this book was not my favorite among his writings I was not totally interested in the history of Orthodoxy's participation in the Ecumenial movement especially since it was written 50 years ago and reflects historical realities that are no longer true communism in Russia for example
