The tournament continues I don t want to write that it drags on, as the story s over the top nature still provides a few fun moments, but I do hope things will go completely off the rails again soon

The Tenka ichi Budokai, or Strongest Under the Heavens fighting tournament is in full swing, taking up this entire book Yamcha squares off against Jackie Chun the Turtle Master in the worst disguise ever , a couple of minor characters called Ran Fuan a sex object pretending to be a character vs Namu, probably the only character in the contest who has real impetus to win the prize money so he can buy water for his dry village Son Goku takes on Giran Kaiju and Kuririn waits for his second round, having won his fight in the last book Whenever I read a comic book full of superhero fighting, usually by Marvel or DC, I end up hating it or being bored with it, but I wasn t with Dragon Ball Volume 4, though it s basically non stop fighting Why I think it s partly due to Akira Toriyama being both artist and writer With superhero comics, there s usually a writer and an artist and, if you read some of the scripts to those comics, the writer will basically hand over to the artist with the fight scenes, saying something like Wolverine and villain fight for 5 pages , leaving it up to the artist to figure out the ...

So, I ve been finding it quite hard to get into the Dragon Ball series granted, it s funny, but I feel that it moves slightly too fast, rushing over things that could be explained at the current time I m sure things are explained later in the series, but that s just my opinion but Strongest Under the Heavens really kept my attention the whole time I was reading it.On average, it s been taking me a few days to read each Dragon Ball volume, losing interest after a tale or two, and going back to whatever I was doing before but I managed to read the whole of Strongest Under the Heavens in half an hour.I feel the tales of the Tenka ichi Bud kai are, although fast paced, well thought out although I would have liked to see some character backgrounds on Bacterian, Ran Fuan and Giran Things got slightly confusing at some points, but Akira Toriyama makes things much clearer by having people break the moves down in the story, which definitely helped me understand what was going on a lot .Overall, I think the whole novel is the best so far in the series, definitely one I might be in...

Volume 4 of Dragon Ball the manga written by Akira Toriyama, was a good book in my opinion The only problem for me was that it was somewhat confusing But it was not hard to read, the drawing are amazing and on point This volume of Dragon Ball is about the tournament to tell who is the strongest of all the contestants The winne...

Yamcha has figured out that one of the competitors in the tournament is actually Master Roshi in disguise Goku and Krillin were getting too strong during training and Master Roshi wanted to make sure they didn t easily win the tournament and become cocky and lose interest in learning It is the final battle and Goku and Master Roshi are pitted against each other Ma...

4.5Such an amazing, action packed, and funny vol In this, the tournament continues with Yamcha battling the mysterious Jackie Chun All of the matches in these fights were full of good humor, a lot of fun, good use of tactic, and originality and creative techniques Now, the biggest plus in this vol, was the lesson that Master Roshi has sought out to teach his students despite your improvments, strengths, and accomplishments, don t let that go to your head Because there will always be someone stronger than you You must always push yourself to keep on becoming stronger because there is always room to continue learning and improvement.Another great plus, imo, was one of the contestants...

In the fourth volume of Dragon Ball, we come to the Strongest Under the Heavens tournament, watching the disciples of the Turtle Master begin to see how much their training has worked, amongst great humour, beautiful artwork, and a spectacular story line. This is probably my favourite issue of the manga so far, just because it s so out there in terms of manga tournaments Most of them are kept quite serious, but truly, Toriyama takes the Strongest Under the Heavens tournament to a whole new level, and really brings everything to the table Humour, anticipation and even stress to some degree for readers very involved with the tale, at least are all felt as we turn the pages, and it s brilliant to know that mangaka s can have this effect on people in a few simple frames.I couldn t stop giggling thro...

Over the last couple of volumes, I was trying to figure out when are they going to showcase the epic battle scenes that the anime is famous for and I am happy to announce that this volume had plenty of action We are instantly swooped right back into the story in which our team of fighters are still competing in the tournament Kuririn won the first match so he is now in the semi finals, and now Yamcha is competing with Jackie Chun For Yamcha, he is in a disadvantage because he doesn t know anything about Jackie Chun and from the tryouts, all Jackie Chun matches were won with a few moves During their battle, Yamcha mistakes Jackie Chun for leaving plenty of room of weakness points to attack but by the end Jackie Chun gave him a can of whoop ass and won the match Now with Goku, his match deals with what looks like a dinosaur and it gets intense Not because of his opponent is powerful, it is simply his moves come as unexpected and almost made Goku lose the match In the end luckily he wins the battle leading to the semi finals.Kuririn gets to fight Jackie Chun and unfortunately is no match for him because in reality Jackie Chun is Master Roshi aka his mentor We get to learn the backdrop of why Master Roshi goes into the competition because he believes that if his students win the tournament, they will let the fame get into their head and not...
