I am reading through the Horn Book Special Citation winners after reading about this award in the Jan Feb 09 Horn Book. The binding is not unknown, as listed in this title record, it is non existent This book is a series of seven trifold plates that operate like time lapse photography We drop in every few years to witness the changes occuring around a small family farm It is a fascinating treatment.

A very unique wordless book which showcases the same scene throughout the years spanning 1953 1972 As towns and populations grow, we see progress changing the landscape in ways we probably never imagined The Changing Countryside has gorgeous illustrations on seven plates which can be used for a study on ecology and the environment.
