4 deeply spiritual stars to The Dreaming Road ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ The author Elizabeth Moore wrote this book after her daughter committed suicide as part of her healing From the start the authenticity of emotions is present and that can only be explained by the author’s first hand understanding of her own grief In this fictional account Diane’s daughter Callie has taken her life What happens after is an exploration of a mother’s steadfast search for answers as well as Callie’s side of the story in the afterlife which is where spirituality enters the story Some wonder what happens when we die and this is just one explanation of that It sounds like it has the potential to be trite but it wasn’t The author handles this side of things with the utmost care You do have to suspend disbelief to fully buy in to the portrayal or maybe not depending on your own spiritual beliefs I know this story won’t be for everyone Suicide is a taboo subject and it’s not easy to read a book like this I appreciated the thought and gentleness conveyed the by the author Diane and Callie had a journey ahead of each of them towards finding peace and the perspective on healing was hopeful Thank you to Elizabeth Moore for her bravery and elouence in writing this book Thanks also to Turning Stone PressShe Writes and Netgalley for the copy

I like to read something a little different every now and then so when I saw the blurb for this book I had to give it a go The Dreaming Road is a beautiful story of a mother's loss grief and love over the death of her daughter It was well written and delved into areas of spirituality which are of great interest to me I found Diana's side of the story to be heartwrenching gritty and very real Unfortunately I struggled with Callie's version of events Obviously I can't say what's true and what's not who knows for sure whether there's an afterlife or not but I began the book with an open mind and was prepared to be enlightened but all I did was found myself disbelieving and as the book went on It all seemed a little far fetched and I began to think that Diana's communications with Callie were little than a figment of her imagination but a positive way to deal with her enormous grief I guess we all of fairly fixed ideas of whether there is an afterlife or not and if so what it looks like and Callie's versions of the afterlife were just a step too far for me but that's not to say it wasn't a lovely book with some gems of good advice tucked away inside It was definitely worth a read and it's a book I will return to again purely for Diana's side of the story and the positive lessons that can be learned from such a painful life lesson

As a Mother this book hits a nerve It is every Mother’s greatest fear that they will lose one of their children add suicide and well I can’t even go there This book follows Diane trying to maneuver her grief and find answers but it also follows Callie as she moves through the afterlife The feelings of Diane and Callie are so intense it broke my heart I won’t lie I found myself crying through this book but it didn’t stop me from investing in the story which I will add I read in one night This is a wonderful book that really needs than 5 stars

The Dreaming Road by author Elizabeth Moore consumed me until I had finished the book The book is about a mother's search for answers and her personal journey in dealing with an unrelenting grief after the suicide death of her eighteen year old daughter This author writes the story from both the mothers' view and from Callie's experiences as she is navigating the afterlife Ok I will admit that I cried as I read the book The feelings of Diane and Callie are so intense until it broke my heart Do not let this stop you from reading this book My tears and feelings of grief are proof the author has been very successful in conveying true emotion and deep feelings in a reader Diane is obsessed with knowing where Callie or her spirit has gone after her physical death She feels that Callie is still somewhere waiting or may be able to contact her in some way I won't post spoilers but the author writes a very intriguing possibility for Callie in the afterlife Callie is written as being in a place of therapy or training before she can proceed further in her afterlife journey She still has her edgy personality and things to learn with decisions to make As a reader it is not our responsibility to agree or disagree with the plot of the author's book Just enjoy and consider the possibilitiesA beautifully written book

We all want to know what happens after we die and what has happened to loved ones who have gone before usWell The Dreaming Road provides answers What started as Elizabeth Moore’s diary to express her grief after the suicide of her teenage daughter turned into The Dreaming Road a beautifully written novel with parallel stories of the daughter’s experience in the afterlife and her mother’s spiritual epiphaniesThe novel is extraordinary — a heart wrenching yet uplifting exploration of the theme that love never diesElizabeth Moore writes of the mother contacting her daughter’s spirit through mediums angel guides lucid dreaming and automatic writing of her daughter’s voice in her head Her daughter Cassie called Callie in the novel shares her experiences in a part of heaven called Summer Wind and her training by the Angel Seraphiel all told with the same voice and wise cracking personality she had in life Her description of the afterlife gels with some of what we’ve heard before but there are also many surprisesWe learn from Callie that life is not the end but part of an eternal journey She finds that her death was just a transition; it did not end her “life” or what she still needed to learn“You are not imprisoned by your history You can own it and then let all of it go and move forward with faith and courage You have the power to forgive everything and everyone even yourself and this will truly set you free Believe me things on Earth are not what they appear Everything happens for a reason — to help you know you’re love”Seraphiel explains how Callie’s life on Earth thus everyone’s life is just a dream“In the beginning nothing existed except oneness and wholeness but in your desire to know yourself you dreamed yourself into existence as separate beings You are all love but often you express yourselves as fear and judgment Remember nothing exists that you have not created Your true power is in remembering that you have created your experience”The mother also interacts with Seraphiel channeled during Angel Awakening Classes and learns the secret to feeling joy in life again In her Acknowledgements Moore says that she wrote this book to share the understanding she gained that “life and love go on forever the dawn will break and the sorrow will be washed away”Elizabeth Moore explores profound concepts for those seeking spiritual awareness from parallel lifetimes to insights into the angelic realm I found it a good reminder something I have heard before when the Angel Seraphiel says “We can’t help you unless you ask”Remember to ask for help when you need it And I believe The Dreaming Road will provide help and solace to those who have lost a loved one to suicide and actually to ALL of us in this human experience who need to find understanding in the midst of inevitable loss sorrow and pain

The Dreaming Road is an Emotional and Inspirational Story of Love and Loss While this novel is fictionalized the author creates a heartfelt story with an almost memoir like feel as she draws on personal emotions and experiences encountered in processing and coping with the loss of her own daughter Readers will immediately be drawn to the realism and the emotions faced by the novel's characters as they move through the storyline Readers should expect to experience emotional moments as they read some passages are difficult to read The author writes in a very down to earth emotionally driven style that is both inspirational and heartbreaking at times Readers Should Expect to Read with an Open Mind The author poses connections to an afterlife that may not settle easily with every reader No matter your faith or your thoughts and experiences with suicide or the loss a loved one I think the author's perspectives presented in this novel make it a fascinating piece that touches the mind and the heart I would encourage readers to read the novel with an open mind and open heart to the possibilities shared by the authorWould I Recommend The Dreaming Road by Elizabeth Moore? The author paints the scenes of this novel so clearly and with so much real world emotion and perspective that it is impossible to put down The Dreaming Road is a book that will touch and inspire from the first few pages I recommend the book to those seeking a fictional novel with a stronger spiritual emotional depth This novel touches the heart and leaves the mind points to ponder long after the final page I received a copy of this novel from the author or publisher for use in a blog review All opinions are my own

I recieved The Dreaming Road free in exchange for an honest review This no way effects my opinion all thoughts or feelings are my ownI have to say after I recieved the email to review The Dreaming Road I was instantly intrigued and automatically told the publisher that I would love to read this book Then I read a series of sad books and I kept putting off reading The Dreaming Road because I wasn't ready for yet another sad book Going into this book knowing it was about a mother grieving over her daughter's suicide made me think that I was going to be crying throughout the whole book That didn't happen I grew deeply attached to Diane and her journey but I didn't cry at all while reading this book I think the author did a great job writing about grief and life in heavenWhen I first started this book I was immediately interested in the story Even though on the day I started this book I had a busy day I took this book with me and I would find any spare moment I had to read The Dreaming Road I was so interested in Callie's life in heaven and I was connected to Diane's story here on EarthI like the way the story moved slower the first year that Callie passed away because that was when Diane was feeling the most emotions but years 3 5 she skipped parts because she wasn't feeling the intense grief she felt in the beginning As with any suicide I was always searching for Callie's reason that she commited suicide Like Diane it gave me peace just hearing her talk in the book through mediumsI think Elizabeth Moore painted such a vivid picture of heaven and I thought of my experience reading Heaven Changes Everything by Todd Burpo many years ago where they said that they ancipate the day that they get to see heaven I think about that myself again that I'm excited to go to heaven after I have lived my life here on Earth I think Diane was incredibly brave to reach out and ask for help from professionals and other people experiencing grief I think this was a very important part of her journey to find joy in her lifeI really enjoyed the ending of this book It brought a lot of peace and it was nice to see that life does move forward after loss Although I have not personally experienced suicide of a close family member I have had people in my life that have died unexpectatly and some chose to take their own life Elizabeth Moore wrote this as an inspirational novel and I think that is exactly what it turned out to be I will also mention that I do not believe in everything that happened in this novel but I don't doubt anything she said completely I will just have to wait until I go to heaven to really know if some of these things are true Overall I highly recommend The Dreaming Road and I enjoyed my exprience reading this book

In the introduction the author shares that she lost a teenage daughter to suicide and began keeping a diary to help her healing process From that she was going to write a memoir to share with family and friends but her daughter's voice kept coming through so she decided to write a book of fiction since she couldn't prove the afterlife portions to share with others of her experience The story alternates between the voices of the mother and the daughterI was moved by the mother's story and she captures all the feelings of grief so well Her dream world is so vivid and her spiritual uest was interesting and well explained The daughter's story is certainly unusual with a depiction of the other side that is very different I was expecting feelings or emotions to be coming through but it is very detailed and describes the daughter's adventures on the other side which is earth like just without problems and everything one could wish for The daughter also is in a training period and eventually earns her wings and also gets to choose how she would like to be reincarnatedI am happy for the author as it seems her journey has allowed her to come to a place of acceptance and peaceI received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads

Ms Moore has written a story nothing short of extraordinary about one of the most painful experiences humans can endure – the death of a child by suicide The fact that she can tell this story at all and began to write it in her journal so candidly and so soon after her daughter’s death is phenomenal The inspirational nature of her book cannot be overstated It transports one back and forth between an anguishing reality on earth and the unfolding beauty of heaven in a real time intersection of the two Alternating chapters in the first person voices of mother and daughter give the reader a sense of being in relationship with both of these remarkable women
