Watching the sun rise sharing a meal a good conversation with friends – these are the moments that leave us with an inner glow a sense of satisfaction fulfilment and peace This feeling is known throughout Scandinavia as hygge and it’s possibly the reason that Denmark is one of the happiest nations on earthThe word hygge doesn’t translate into a single word or phrase but it can be understood as the feeling of finding joy in the simple pleasures of everyday life

I bought this on the kindle so I didn’t have the opportunity to flick through it first which is a pity this isn’t a book it’s 100 pages or so with a single short sentence on Many of which are pretty much repeated It doesn’t explain or talk about Hygge at all it says things like “go on a picnic picnics are nice” or “enjoy a good book”
