I d give it 10 stars out of 5 if I could I read like a maniac over 150 books a year and this is one of the best books I have ever read For me it was relatable, but for those who can t relate, it can offer great insight into the life and mind of the abused I cried and meditated on certain parts, and I am still thinking about it months later My highlights have helped my fiancee to understand me I cannot overstate the excellence with which Russell Nohelty captured the heart of the abused c I d give it 10 stars out of 5 if I could I read like a maniac over 150 books a year and this is one of the best books I have ever read For me it was relatable, but for those who can t relate, it can offer great insight into the life and mind of the abused I cried and meditated on certain parts, and I am still thinking about it months later My highlights have helped my fiancee to understand me I cannot overstate the excellence with which Russell Nohelty captured the heart of the abused child and the abused child who has grown up to have children of her own He also correctly displays how fuzzy the line between emotional and physical abuse is and how similar the effects can be I have never felt so validated 10 years of therapy, right here for free Thanks, Russell

A book that will open your eyes, and touch your heart deeply from the start This was an extremely difficult read for me personally, because I have livedthan half of what this story depicts, but in reality In the real world Does this make it a bad story Not really Just very hard to read The language of it was so raw, so close to the bone as they say, that I found myself tearful and very emotional as I read through this very well written book As I read it, I felt myself transported in A book that will open your eyes, and touch your heart deeply from the start This was an extremely difficult read for me personally, because I have livedthan half of what this story depicts, but in reality In the real world Does this make it a bad story Not really Just very hard to read The language of it was so raw, so close to the bone as they say, that I found myself tearful and very emotional as I read through this very well written book As I read it, I felt myself transported in my mind, back to my house in London and back into the worse experiences of my life Many thoughts and feelings I thought long dead, resurfaced painfully to temporarily torture me again This remarkable story sets out to tell a very different and distinctive story. It makes every effort to be as factual and as honest as possible It actually revolves around the young boy in the story His feelings are paramount to the story He lives in a world of painand has emotional scars from watching his father abuse his mother over many years, whilst at the same time, he is dealing with a terminal lung condition himself He has so few breaks in life that he hates himself utterly for his physical weakness He finds a young girl who catches his attention She is different She is challenging and she asks for his help In helping her, he finds he has helped himself to improve his health He helps her as much as he can until he has to ask his father for help, unfortunately his father turns against him and beats him up He had trusted him, and he had been let down It s a hard lesson for the boy to learn His father cannot control his temper, no matter what he promises A lesson I too had to learn the hard way in the real world with my first husband Promises do not change a persons nature I feel strange now that I have read the book Almost like I have just had my past written down in a story..and the question I find myself with is, does this book leave me feeling violated by intruders, reading my pain Or do I feel a certain freedom, coming from the female character in the lead and the boy, her son From the depiction of their lives and escape from the fear and pain in their lives I think in a way, this book has been cathartic for me I got away from my tormentor and so did this woman and her son in the story Effectively we both helped ourselves to get free That s the best part of this storyshe overcomes her abuser However, she turned to pills to ease her pain, but I turned to my faith in God to ease mine Effectively, we are both clear survivors It was a very disturbing story to read, especially from a survivors viewpoint However, I am glad I read it I think it served as a reminder of what I have come from and what joy and happiness I have now I am grateful to the author for being bold enough to write these stories These things go on in the dark, hidden, behind closed doors This author has courageously shone a bright light into the darkness I applaud him And the end of the book, it has a tremendous twist in it A hidden aspect that makes this an amazing book to read I think you will be as surprised as I was at the end

Spaceship broken is an interesting study in the change of the male role in family life and in the realm of their own emotions I can relate since I give the topic a heap of attention in my own personal attempt to be a modern family man This book is a gritty tale of love, forgiveness, and a spaceship Sammy is a boy stuck to oxygen tanks whose health struggles are created and exasperated by a crummy home life The twelve year old and his mom flee an abusive father and stumble into a mystery invo Spaceship broken is an interesting study in the change of the male role in family life and in the realm of their own emotions I can relate since I give the topic a heap of attention in my own personal attempt to be a modern family man This book is a gritty tale of love, forgiveness, and a spaceship Sammy is a boy stuck to oxygen tanks whose health struggles are created and exasperated by a crummy home life The twelve year old and his mom flee an abusive father and stumble into a mystery involving an intriguing girl and a broken spaceship.A drama isn t usually what I go in for, but Nohelty has been on my radar for some time due to his book promotion efforts When I saw this book in a mail list building promotion, I jumped at the opportunity Reader beware, I recommend this book to earthbound adult readers Though Sammy is twelve through the story, there is plenty I wouldn t want my tween son reading about just yet Especially after having to just recently have the talk I ended up starting that one out with a youtube video called dogs humping and then fielded anatomical questions after a good laugh.I thought I was ready for the end, but the twist caught me by surprise Don t get me wrong, it was well foreshadowed I used eReader Prestigio to listen via text to speech as I was road tripping I paused the story and mentally reviewed a bunch of foreshadowing that originally went right over my head Only one other writer has pulled the wool over my eyes so successfully, and I won t tell you who because I think that this paragraph is a bit of a spoiler and revealing the comparison would plunge us ever deeper into the spoiler rabbit hole Go out and read the book Then jump on facebook and join my club by tacking this onto the url groups ShanesBookClub There will be a post of Russel s book waiting Let s talk
