Upon reading the description of the book I immediately thought of Dan Brown and his novels Lyn Gibson’s approach is similar is taking history and biblical references and crafting a story from it The mention of The Fallen reminds me of a young adult series with that name However I did not enjoy this novel as much as I have enjoyed similar novels First some of the scenes are way too long with little to no real action For example the second chapter includes the main character’s presentation on her research that sets up the plot for the remainder of the novel However it is close to 30 pages long and resembles that of a history lesson I lost interest after a few pages I would have much rather enjoyed a tease of the research and its main points and had the rest follow as the novel and plot developed It was a lot of background information to throw at the reader so soon in the novel Some of the dialogue feels a bit forced There is also over usage of exclamation points which I personally dislike There were also several punctuation errors in regards to missing commas and periods although it could have been the version I had to review I wanted to like the plot but I couldn’t connect to any of the characters Despite not liking the novel I do have a lot of respect for the author The book is over 300 pages long and novels that include historical and science fiction aspects reuire lots of research and planning Overall the writing style wasn’t for me but I know others will love this piece Disclaimer I received a copy of this book for free in exchange for writing a review I was not obligated to give a positive review and all thoughts are my own

A fast paced action filled read on a classic theme The writing style is nice the characters are memorable; other than some grammatical errors and repetition there’s not much to fault this on If you like heavily biblical fiction I would suggest giving this a tryDisclaimer I received a copy of this book for free in exchange for writing a review I am not obligated to give a positive review and all thoughts are my own
