Mrs Odboddy and her granddaughter Katherine are on their way to Washington DC to meet Mrs Roosevelt They will be accompanying her on her Pacific Island tour but their cross country train ride is not without mishap To start things off Mrs Odboddy is asked to deliver a top secret package to the President She guards the package with her life but she sees danger at every turn She’s sure there are thieves on board ready to steal the package from her There’s no way she’s going to let that happen Everywhere she looks she runs into another shady character Katherine is afraid it’s all in her grandmother’s head but Mrs Odboddy is convinced these are very real threatsThe author takes readers on a wild train ride through the difficult war times surrounding WWII Her descriptions are very real and vivid As I read this book she put me right into that era I felt as if I were actually back in that time going through all the turmoil associated with that period Elaine Faber does an excellent job of including all the details involved and bringing it all to lifeThe characters are uirky to say the least Mrs Odboddy is not your typical grandmother – she can be rude and belligerent but also very warm and loving It’s a uniue take on the cozy mystery genre The story is fast paced filled with many twists and turns to keep your head spinning I loved the first book in this series and I love this one even I’m looking forward to meeting up with Mrs Odboddy again in the near futureFTC Disclosure The author provided me with a copy of this book to review I was not reuired to write a positive review All opinions expressed are my own

I am so excited to find this amazing author The time period is wonderful and the author describes it with great detail I have found a new hero named MrsOdboddy She is a great character with a no nonsense attitude Her escapades are a thrill ride with danger lurking at every corner I would love to travel by train someday as the author made it sound very intriguing The author has a great sense of humor by the many funny names she uses for her characters Mrs Odboddy is once again on a secret mission to deliver a package to the president of the United States That package served as the focal point of the story It was driving me crazy wondering what was in the package The adventure Mrs Odboddy and her granddaughter Katherine encounter on their trip is funny and dangerous I absolutely loved the people they meet on the train I loved how the author reminded readers that there was racial prejudice going on during this time period The I read the book the I loved Mrs Odboddy She was not worried about what people thought as she bought a meal for soldiers who were treated with prejudice The story is uite entertaining as the two women try to reach their destination of Washington D C It was hard to figure out who to trust on their travels Along the journey something happens to separate Katherine from her grandmother Who is after the package ? What secret does it contain? I really liked learning about Hoover and the workings of the FBI This is one book that will have you hooked from the first page Mrs Odboddy is one dedicated American and will do anything to complete her mission I can't wait to read from this very talented author I received a copy of this book from The Great Escapes Book Tour The review is my own opinion

This book picks up not far from where the last one left off in this one Agnes gets asked to bring a package to the President Roosevelt when she goes on a Pacific Island Tour with her granddaughterThe package is coming from her buddy Colonel Farthingworth  But with Agnes anything is possible and usually backfires  Katherine and Agnes meet alot of interesting people along the way  Newlyweds fighting a nanny delivering a child to her father a senator  Two soldiers going to train to be fighter pilots and so much   With lots of ups and downs they manage to get to DC with lots of adventures along the wayI love going back to this era how people survived during the war  In this one Agnes get sent to DC with the package and learns how some people seem way to interested in this package  I really enjoyed seeing what Agnes and Katherine and see what they are up to and dealing with  I really think this is a great book for those who love mysteries that take place during wartimes  Definitely keeps you laughing in some areas and following the adventure in others  Can't wait to see what is next

I became acuainted with Mrs Odboddy in a previous book but this adventure reads just as well as a stand alone I recommend it for fans of historical fiction as well as those who appreciate some humor in their crime novelsMrs O is one of a kind Having been an agent in a previous role she always thinks she sees something suspicious in the behavior of others When she is given a secret mission and a package to deliver into the hands of the President of the United States her intuition and observations go into high alert status Can her granddaughter Katherine keep her under control?Halfway through the book I was convinced I had it figured out but there were surprises aheadI enjoyed the character interactions and individual traits The author writes amazing descriptions incorporating valuable facts from history This is a wild train ride and dangerous adventureI look forward to discovering how Mrs Odboddy carries out her civic duty next time

What can I say? Mrs Odboddy is a hoot She’s the most refreshing character since Mrs Pollifax She is given a mission to take a package to President Roosevelt and put it directly into his hands She and her granddaughter Katherine are on their way to meet Mrs Roosevelt and go on a Red Cross tour with her They board a train to Washington DC and the merriment begins I can’t wait for the next one to come out
