Witty and interesting plot but too longI would have given this 5 stars for two reasons 1 it was just too long and dragged n spots It could have been tightened up and cut about 100 pages 2 despite mentioning an editor in her acknowledgements , there were MANY MANY typos and incorrect punctuation Some made me re read a part a couple times because it made no sense I really enjoyed the characters and the town Andie was a great leader as well as an understandably flawed woman trying her best Witty and interesting plot but too longI would have given this 5 stars for two reasons 1 it was just too long and dragged n spots It could have been tightened up and cut about 100 pages 2 despite mentioning an editor in her acknowledgements , there were MANY MANY typos and incorrect punctuation Some made me re read a part a couple times because it made no sense I really enjoyed the characters and the town Andie was a great leader as well as an understandably flawed woman trying her best And Dash was almost too good to be true Nice range of secondary characters with Junie being my favorite Really the town had everything and was a great place to be run over by the chief of police

RESPECTFUL FRIENDS LOVERS GREAT POLICE PROCEDURALHighly recommended to everyone, especially fans of J.D Robb There are editorial errors in the Kindred edition, but hopefully not enough to put anyone off This author has such a gift for realistic, natural dialogue by protagonists who have patience and humor to deal with the gray areas of life that it is a true privilege and treat to read her works RESPECTFUL FRIENDS LOVERS GREAT POLICE PROCEDURALHighly recommended to everyone, especially fans of J.D Robb There are editorial errors in the Kindred edition, but hopefully not enough to put anyone off This author has such a gift for realistic, natural dialogue by protagonists who have patience and humor to deal with the gray areas of life that it is a true privilege and treat to read her works

It s taken me a moment to decide where to even begin with my love for this story If you are a theatre geek, a foodie, a mystery lover, a lover of love, a person who likes stories that unflinchingly look at issues that touch all our lives in one way or another, or even just a good old fashioned kick ass protagonist, this book IS for you First, the mystery I have a hard time with mysteries ordinarily because I guess the ending I see the bad guy from a mile away This mystery, as is characteris It s taken me a moment to decide where to even begin with my love for this story If you are a theatre geek, a foodie, a mystery lover, a lover of love, a person who likes stories that unflinchingly look at issues that touch all our lives in one way or another, or even just a good old fashioned kick ass protagonist, this book IS for you First, the mystery I have a hard time with mysteries ordinarily because I guess the ending I see the bad guy from a mile away This mystery, as is characteristic for Cyn Mackley s novels, kept me guessing and re guessing and pulling my hair out trying to figure it out and yakking my husband s ear off about who it could possibly be, right up until deftly and without a hitch, she reveals how it all came to pass and my jaw landed on the floor Several times as the story unfolded I audibly gasped, I laughed out loud, I cried tears for every emotion there was, I said aww The characters themselves are loveable overcomers of impossible odds that made you cheer for them harder than I can remember cheering in a while It s full of those you love to love and wish you could personally grab by the shoulders and shout what is wrong with you This novel, and the characters that thrive within it, are a triumph It is deserving of nothing less than a standing ovation Bravo, Ms Mackley, I am as always, in awe
