This was a very well written book about a little known campaign during the United States Civil War The author gave such vivid descriptions, it felt as though I were there with the soldiers And I appreciated his inclusion of brief biographies on many of the major and peripheral players It helped give me a sense of why they may have made some of the decisions that they did.
