One of the best books I read in my teens, and one of the only ones I still have on my shelf This follows three teenagers, brought together by the curious wooden egg puzzle of the book s title Two of them start having odd supernatural visions of the future, and they help to solve a crime despite the initial scepticism of the police Not just about solving a mystery, this is about real relationships, and real problems which are just as relevant today as they were when the book was written A rea One of the best books I read in my teens, and one of the only ones I still have on my shelf This follows three teenagers, brought together by the curious wooden egg puzzle of the book s title Two of them start having odd supernatural visions of the future, and they help to solve a crime despite the initial scepticism of the police Not just about solving a mystery, this is about real relationships, and real problems which are just as relevant today as they were when the book was written A really good read

One of my favorite books from my childhood, which I re read many times as a teenager It tells the story of three teenagers in London who are drawn together because of an inexplicable power to see flashes of the future Catherine Storr s writing is beautiful, and her characters have emotional depth.

I first read this book ages ago It s a fun YA read about 2 sisters and their friend who have this wooden puzzle egg Well, the friend has the egg, and one of the sisters has the missing piece Somehow the piece being separated from the egg cause the boy and the girl to see the future They have to work together with the egg and a skeptical but willing to try anything police officer to help find a baby who had been kidnapped.

This was one of my favourite books as a child and I have always meant to track down a copy and re read it I wasn t disappointed and found that in addition to it being the absorbing adventure mystery story that I remembered, it also explores issues related to families, relationships, identity and growing up that I can appreciatenow as an adult reader A fine companion for a fireside read on a snow day.

This was a fun and intriguing teen read Since it s written in a different culture, 40 years ago, there is a certain amount of figuring out their world Even by today s Starbucks standards, it seems like the trio of teens spends an awful lot of time drinking coffee Didn t their mothers ever tell them it would stunt their growth
