If you ve been following my for a while, you ll know that I loved books 1 and 2 of this series Like seriously LOVED from page one This book is no different.Dan Jenkins is one of those characters who you can t help but love He s quirky, hopelessly flawed, has a wicked sense of humor, and a strong moral code I think that s what made me love him the most in the first two books that he always wanted to do the right thing, even when he was dealing with seriously evil bad guys that he pretty much If you ve been following my for a while, you ll know that I loved books 1 and 2 of this series Like seriously LOVED from page one This book is no different.Dan Jenkins is one of those characters who you can t help but love He s quirky, hopelessly flawed, has a wicked sense of humor, and a strong moral code I think that s what made me love him the most in the first two books that he always wanted to do the right thing, even when he was dealing with seriously evil bad guys that he pretty much had to kill or they d go on being evil.Hopper House takes a new turn for Dan s afterlife experience when he discovers he s not the only person like him jumping from body to body And Rose wants him to stay that way Despite her efforts, he finds himself cornered by a new nemesis, one who knows all about his condition and how to blackmail him But in typical Dan style, he s not going to give in without doing his best to make the bad guy pay.I could rant and rave about this book until the cows come home It s one of those books I couldn t put down, even when I really needed to The character of Dan really does make this story He makes these ugly situation amusing and light, and these horrible so confused and thrown of guard by his quirky unpredictability But he has a big heart, and I m so glad that s what comes through in the end, even when the minister is a nut job, and the other hoppers are also kind of crazy.I m pretty sad the series is over at least it definitely feels like it wrapped up nicely If there arebooks, this little bit of sadness I get when finishing a really good book series will go away Seriously, it s like I turned that last page and felt like I d lost a friend. While I would never call The Jenkins Cycle books clean reads, they definitely are riveting page turners I d recommend to anyone who s not overly sensitive and loves a great, exciting, and unique adventure with an unforgettable hero

I ve read and loved all John L Monk s novels His voice, his quirky humor, his passion for food call me an addict. This is quite the accomplishment Normally I d think of Dan Jenkins as a whiny loser, and I was so mad at him for wasting food in Chapter One of Book One, Kick, I almost didn t keep reading But in spite of Dan being a suicide victim with various character weaknesses, I kept laughing and rooting for him and turning pages to the end Okay, maybe it s because Dan is so flawed th I ve read and loved all John L Monk s novels His voice, his quirky humor, his passion for food call me an addict. This is quite the accomplishment Normally I d think of Dan Jenkins as a whiny loser, and I was so mad at him for wasting food in Chapter One of Book One, Kick, I almost didn t keep reading But in spite of Dan being a suicide victim with various character weaknesses, I kept laughing and rooting for him and turning pages to the end Okay, maybe it s because Dan is so flawed that I like him so much Honest, who doesn t identify with the ordinary guy who s called to save others even though he seems grossly unqualified for the job It s one of the tenets of Catholicism a religion Dan finds himself exposed to,so in Books Two and Three God does not call the qualified God qualifies the called Is Dan, as these books progress, becomingandqualified to prevent murder and stop serial killers, by execution, if necessary WEll you ll have to read the books and see for yourself While each novel can stand alone no cliffhanger endings here, all you eager one star bandits , there is always room forDan is not done here The day he s qualified to move on from the Great Wherever is the day we Jenkins fans sob and wave farewell to a character we love like a real life friend

Book 1 of The Jenkins Cycle hooked me on its unique premise Dan, a suicide, is sentence by God or maybe aliens, we don t really know to spend eternity possessing the bodies of society s criminals Dan gets about three weeks to figure out what these people have done wrong and how to bring them to justice Every now and then he gets to possess someone good, but that s a rarity For Dan it s a job that he takes very seriously whenever he s not busy eating loads of food, watching tons of TV, and Book 1 of The Jenkins Cycle hooked me on its unique premise Dan, a suicide, is sentence by God or maybe aliens, we don t really know to spend eternity possessing the bodies of society s criminals Dan gets about three weeks to figure out what these people have done wrong and how to bring them to justice Every now and then he gets to possess someone good, but that s a rarity For Dan it s a job that he takes very seriously whenever he s not busy eating loads of food, watching tons of TV, and getting as much Earthly fulfillment as he can before he s sent back to eternity Hopper House continues with John L Monk s brilliant writing style witty, quick, and straight forward The story blazes by with plenty of Monk s quirky humor, shocking violence, unexpected twists, and heart felt hits to the feelers. This being book 3 of the series, the author wisely refrains from repeating himself and instead dives deeper into this bizarre world he has created He expands on the possibilities of what Dan is capable of and introduces hopper houses where other people suffering the same eternal punishment can come and get a reprieve, that is until the landlord decides to meddle in their fun. This series lands like a punch to the gut, but keeps you coming back and begging for aA can t put it down page turner if there ever was one

The third book in the Jenkins Cycle is a fast paced page turner that had me racing to find out what happens It s engaging with great characters and a lot of fun to read My only quibble was that the ending was a little too convenient for the hero Overall though, a great book that s well worth reading.
