    Full disclosure, I received a free copy of this book via Goodreads giveaway.This slim volume around 100 pages or so is a collection of misadventures while attending a study abroad program in Italy Definitely a few good chuckles in there and the relatively predictable dude, I was so wasted last night that I stories Recommended for a college freshman on plane bus train home for semester break.

    A very entertaining quick read tho it took me quite some time as I kept it in the car just read a chapter here there when I had wait time which I won from the author here on Goodreads Each chapter was a fun night day of revelry with all of the silly aftermath you can imagine from college kids on a drinking spree in a different country My favorite chapter was Colonel Mustard just the description of playing Risk had me in tears Recommend A very entertaining quick read tho it took me quite some time as I kept it in the car just read a chapter here there when I had wait time which I won from the author here on Goodreads Each chapter was a fun night day of revelry with all of the silly aftermath you can imagine from college kids on a drinking spree in a different country My favorite chapter was Colonel Mustard just the description of playing Risk had me in tears Recommend

    On a Bender Abroad brought back a lot of memories Like the author, I too studied abroad in Europe and lived that same mix of fascination and desire to immerse oneself in a foreign culture while nostalgically and irrepressibly holding on to your own Americaness I just drank a hell of a lot less It s an adventure in self discovery as you balance the isolation of being far away from home, family and friends with the whole new world of independence with different people, different rules and the On a Bender Abroad brought back a lot of memories Like the author, I too studied abroad in Europe and lived that same mix of fascination and desire to immerse oneself in a foreign culture while nostalgically and irrepressibly holding on to your own Americaness I just drank a hell of a lot less It s an adventure in self discovery as you balance the isolation of being far away from home, family and friends with the whole new world of independence with different people, different rules and the complexities of a new language My favorite part of the adventure was the desperate attempt to recreate a familiar version of Halloween for us it was Thanksgiving I m glad that Mike Lemcke made it back from his adventures abroad in one piece his liver included and with so many stories to tell.Thank you to Mike Lemcke for the copy of this book in exchange for my honest review
