Book 1It didn t read like book one I enjoyed the story, although it felt a little like watching a Hallmark Mystery It was not slow enough that I didn t want to finish it What I didn t like was the constant reminders of what had happened before, repeatedly I never read any of the prior books before this one because this was Book1 Now I have no desire to read the prior books I may not see the whole picture but I see enough that I don t have to go threw the whole album All Eyes on Me is not Book 1It didn t read like book one I enjoyed the story, although it felt a little like watching a Hallmark Mystery It was not slow enough that I didn t want to finish it What I didn t like was the constant reminders of what had happened before, repeatedly I never read any of the prior books before this one because this was Book1 Now I have no desire to read the prior books I may not see the whole picture but I see enough that I don t have to go threw the whole album All Eyes on Me is not a Book 1, it s a continuation of two becoming one I m disappointed I would have liked to start at the beginning, not in the middle

I don t think the police would give up a homicide investigation to a private investigator company, but it is fiction right I also disagree with the way they collected evidence, but again, it is not a true real story So from the beginnning to the middle of the story I found it a bit boring, but to the end it got interesting with the twist and turns

This was a rather good book, the first in a series with Miranda and Parker, taking place in Las Vegas A famous singer named Ambrosia Dawn is killed Who dunnit her husband, her sister, or someone else

Am I The only one who was a tad confused about this being Book One I felt as if I picked up a book in the middle of a series due to all of the references to things that happened prior to the beginning of this book.

EntertainingI found the first book in this series to be perfectly entertaining and totally worth the price, free I was reminded, vaguely of the eighties detective couple, Hart to Hart Miranda is reminiscent of Javanovich s character and I m sure comparisons will be drawn to Eve and Roarke Lanier s writing won t fare favorably with a comparison to Robb s, but in fairness, sometimes even Roberts isn t as good as Roberts Bottom line Did I enjoy the book Yes Will I buy 2 No It s 5 My sug EntertainingI found the first book in this series to be perfectly entertaining and totally worth the price, free I was reminded, vaguely of the eighties detective couple, Hart to Hart Miranda is reminiscent of Javanovich s character and I m sure comparisons will be drawn to Eve and Roarke Lanier s writing won t fare favorably with a comparison to Robb s, but in fairness, sometimes even Roberts isn t as good as Roberts Bottom line Did I enjoy the book Yes Will I buy 2 No It s 5 My suggestion Open your novels to Kindle Unlimited If these were on Unlimited I d read every one as I wait for the February release date of the next In Death installment

In the beginning, I will admit that I was a little confused on which was the story was going At first, I thought this one person was the killer only to be disguised as an officer Not until reading further did I realize I was completely off course and had to reread the beginning of the story Once I had all the character sorted out of who was who, the story picked up and I couldn t put the book down for the last two days Finishing it was nice because of the little promising cliffhanger the aut In the beginning, I will admit that I was a little confused on which was the story was going At first, I thought this one person was the killer only to be disguised as an officer Not until reading further did I realize I was completely off course and had to reread the beginning of the story Once I had all the character sorted out of who was who, the story picked up and I couldn t put the book down for the last two days Finishing it was nice because of the little promising cliffhanger the author decided to leave.I would highly recommend this book to a lover of crime stories The course of action in this book didn t disappoint

This was a fun read, with lots of interesting characters and a famous murder Miranda and Parker make a good team, and a nice couple I didn t enjoy the suspicion they had of people who were obvious, but the killer in the end did make sense What didn t make sense was Parker not following Miranda when she went off to check out some things before they left He was already worrying about losing her due to their dangerous work, so letting her go out and knowing she d be working on the case just doe This was a fun read, with lots of interesting characters and a famous murder Miranda and Parker make a good team, and a nice couple I didn t enjoy the suspicion they had of people who were obvious, but the killer in the end did make sense What didn t make sense was Parker not following Miranda when she went off to check out some things before they left He was already worrying about losing her due to their dangerous work, so letting her go out and knowing she d be working on the case just doesn t fit A good mystery for a day on the beach

Poor all round Ridiculous to suggest that an official Police Department would contract Private Investigators to do the Police s job and investigate a high profile case More ridiculous to suggest the Police would allow the PI s to handle the official Press Briefing Most ridiculous to suggest someone who hits triple seven on the slots and is immediately issued a cheque via the machine, hands this over when approached by someone who states they were playing the machine and just went to the toile Poor all round Ridiculous to suggest that an official Police Department would contract Private Investigators to do the Police s job and investigate a high profile case More ridiculous to suggest the Police would allow the PI s to handle the official Press Briefing Most ridiculous to suggest someone who hits triple seven on the slots and is immediately issued a cheque via the machine, hands this over when approached by someone who states they were playing the machine and just went to the toilets so the winnings are theirs

Miranda Parker are back but will Miranda still have the edge to do this type of work Parker almost lost her and he watches her like a hawk They are consulting for the Las Vegas Police Dept and Miranda is the lead as she won the dice toss A well know n singer has been murdered but the worst part is that someone took one of her eyes Miranda and the Sgt in Charge Sid O Toole don t really get along and she just wants to find justice for Ambrosia and she will find the killer But there are so m Miranda Parker are back but will Miranda still have the edge to do this type of work Parker almost lost her and he watches her like a hawk They are consulting for the Las Vegas Police Dept and Miranda is the lead as she won the dice toss A well know n singer has been murdered but the worst part is that someone took one of her eyes Miranda and the Sgt in Charge Sid O Toole don t really get along and she just wants to find justice for Ambrosia and she will find the killer But there are so many suspects and she rushes into everything without thinking it through and Parker is trying to let her find her way but he worries that she is pushing herself too much So who did it the bodyguard who is sleeping with her sister The chef that had to break up with her boyfriend or the husband who loved her too much Just as she thinks she knows the answers a new suspect is found but who can she trust as too many people wanted her dead A good read Miranda does seem too eager to want to prove herself and thank heavens for Parker as he is the calming force in her life
