4.5 Stars This is a series I ve been following for years and this one definitely didn t disappointI wasn t really sure about the dynamics of a 4 way relationship but it definitely DID work..Dylan DocI ve been very intrigued by him in previous books. He s always come across as a bit of a jaded character but something of an enigma and I definitely fell for him here.He is a doctor from Eden and has witnessed some horrific things which turned him to drugs to block things out.JadeHas been u 4.5 Stars This is a series I ve been following for years and this one definitely didn t disappointI wasn t really sure about the dynamics of a 4 way relationship but it definitely DID work..Dylan DocI ve been very intrigued by him in previous books. He s always come across as a bit of a jaded character but something of an enigma and I definitely fell for him here.He is a doctor from Eden and has witnessed some horrific things which turned him to drugs to block things out.JadeHas been used to a privileged life of luxury in Sector Two where she was a spy, trained in the art of seduction. When she arrives in Sector Four people treat her as being fragile but deep down she s anything but.ScarletOriginally from Sector Three she has not had the lifestyle the other 3 had and has had to look after herself.MaddoxFrom Sector One,he left there when his mother died and fled to Sector Four.He still has strong family ties to Sector One.However, although it might be his destiny to run Sector One some day,his loyalties are firmly with the Okanes s in Sector Four Jade and Scarlet are lovers as are Dylan and Maddox. However both couples feel they are missing something. They all stumble into a relationship which, when they get together is explosive.they each have their insecurities which they work at throughout the course of the book. The sex scenes are plentiful but at no time are they dirty or smutty. They are highly erotic and very well written. What I enjoyedhere than in previous books was the involvement of the different Sectors,as they came together to prepare for war against Eden. This is a raw, gritty, highly sexual Dystopian series that probably won t be for everyone but I ve been hooked since book 1 and look forward to continuing the journey of these amazing characters.

The Good Sector Eden politics and the impending war The MM angle there was genuine intimacy there Their relationship didn t feel forced the way the relationship between Cruz and Ace sometimes did Getting to see the previous protagonists side characters my beloveds, Six and Bren. The Not So Good Jeni and Hawk s pointless POVs I understand that it s a way to tease us with their forthcoming book, and that s fine However, make itrelevant to the overall series plot rather than just Jeni mu The Good Sector Eden politics and the impending war The MM angle there was genuine intimacy there Their relationship didn t feel forced the way the relationship between Cruz and Ace sometimes did Getting to see the previous protagonists side characters my beloveds, Six and Bren. The Not So Good Jeni and Hawk s pointless POVs I understand that it s a way to tease us with their forthcoming book, and that s fine However, make itrelevant to the overall series plot rather than just Jeni musing over her going nowhere relationship with Lex and Dallas, or her serving Hawk a drink, or that gardening interlude The HEA foursome Frankly, I thought it would be worse That said, it s not great While Mad, Dylan, Jade Scarlet are an item and I sort of believe it is a sustainable relationship, I m not exactly sure why they should be a permanent foursome instead of just knocking boots when the mood strikes Frankly Mad and Dylan have the most chemistry and genuine intimacy between them Scarlet and Jade s relationship felt weirdly flat, which is bizarre, because they were an established couple already The Mad Scarlet, Dylan Jade angles I could see, the Mad Jade too if I squinted, but the Dylan Scarlet was just a failure I think the reason for this lies in the insufficient character development There are four main characters, two of which Mad Jade getdevelopment than the other two And that s a shame, because all of them have major baggage that I feel is very relevant to their fantastic foursome, and it just doesn t get explored thoroughly enough, especially when it comes to Scarlet and Dylan As it is now, the whole foursome thing is not terrible by any means, but at the same time it feels a bit like a house of cards to me

ARC of Beyond Ruin by Kit Rocha was generously provided to me by the authors in exchange for an honest review.I say this in many of my reviews of the Beyond series, but I ll say it again This is one of the few series that feature female MC s that I can still stand to read In fact, it may be the only one left The Beyond series isn t just M F, though We get everything here M F, M M, F F, M M F, and , just because the O Kane s like it that way But what keeps me reading, even through t ARC of Beyond Ruin by Kit Rocha was generously provided to me by the authors in exchange for an honest review.I say this in many of my reviews of the Beyond series, but I ll say it again This is one of the few series that feature female MC s that I can still stand to read In fact, it may be the only one left The Beyond series isn t just M F, though We get everything here M F, M M, F F, M M F, and , just because the O Kane s like it that way But what keeps me reading, even through the presence of female MC s is that these women do not damsel At all They are strong, kick ass women who aren t afraid to go after what they want And when it comes to protecting their own, they are just as fierce as their men More so, in many cases So, I keep right on reading Oh, and I would be remiss if I did not mention just how HAWT they are Oh, my.I also need to say that this book is not meant to be read as a stand alone There is an overall story arc that takes place from book one, though this one, and will continue through to the series end Don t start here Start with Beyond Shame For ages, I ve been looking forward to reading Doc Dylan and Mad s story I had no idea, for the longest time, that their story would also feature Jade and Scarlet The only rules about relationships, in Sector Four, are those the parties involved put there No judgement from anyone else And that s how it should be, really Relationships can be difficult enough without everyone else trying to make them even harder.Jade, Scarlet, Mad and Dylan are all damaged by life, as so many in the Sectors are, and they bring all of their life experiences and insecurities and their strengths to the table No matter that life has thrown at them, they re still standing and they re still strong, even when they just want to forget And they finally come together when everything else seems to be falling apart And working with four people in a relationship takes so much compromise and understanding Everyone needs to be willing to bendthan if it s just two people And that is hard, no matter what Each of our MC s, though, fits the needs of the others and the four of them are stronger than the two previous pairs of them were So, it just worked. In Beyond Ruin, things are past the heating up point between the Sectors and Eden Eden has all the comforts and most of the power, but they want it all Greed rules them and they can t just leave the Sectors to their own rule, causing upheaval and unimaginable pain to those affected Jade and Lex maybe most of all And Beyond Ruin makes is clear that there is no way to avoid war I m really looking forward to seeing how all this plays out

This book is the story of Jade, Scarlett, Dylan, and Mad a quad relationship For me, I think way too much work, for them I say follow your bliss.Individually I like Jade the most by far She was raised to be a concubine in Sector Two, was previously addicted to some nasty drugs, and we learn she feels deeply for the women of her previous sector Probably Scarlett is the least developed I m not sure what I know about her except about her sexual fetishes, she s a singer, and came from the poor This book is the story of Jade, Scarlett, Dylan, and Mad a quad relationship For me, I think way too much work, for them I say follow your bliss.Individually I like Jade the most by far She was raised to be a concubine in Sector Two, was previously addicted to some nasty drugs, and we learn she feels deeply for the women of her previous sector Probably Scarlett is the least developed I m not sure what I know about her except about her sexual fetishes, she s a singer, and came from the poor district Dylan was always intriguing, though I think I found himso in the other books He s a doctor from Eden and drug addict Mad is from Sector One and probably should have been the leader but he fled the zone for Sector Four.I actually missed the other characters we saw little tiny glimpses but this story was largely about the foursome and the political situation unfolding I did like seeingof Sector One and seeing Jade s dedication to Two but it felt quite different than the other books. Also, I think I ve finally put my finger on what bugs me about menage sex scenes There is so much talking especially in these books I mean they are constantly having conversations about their magical sexual healing and how much so and so likes what during sex That would drive me crazy after about 5 minutes That said the sex scenes were pretty hot and very plentiful. It was an interesting read but close to the bottom of for the Beyond series for me

I admit it, I wasn t sure what to expect for Beyond Ruin Mostly because it has been a while since I ve read something for this series but as with any series, I found that once I dove in, I was right back in the sectors andexcited about where things were going There are things I liked in this book and then there were things I wasn t completely buying into As I think about the storyI really am excited about where Kit Rocha is taking the series The story of the sectors and their rel I admit it, I wasn t sure what to expect for Beyond Ruin Mostly because it has been a while since I ve read something for this series but as with any series, I found that once I dove in, I was right back in the sectors andexcited about where things were going There are things I liked in this book and then there were things I wasn t completely buying into As I think about the storyI really am excited about where Kit Rocha is taking the series The story of the sectors and their relationship with Eden is coming to a head and things are getting very real, very quickly This book focuses on the characters Mad, Dylan Doc , Jade, and Scarlet Being totally transparent here, I couldn t really recall much about Scarlet and Jade from previous books but at the start of this one, Jade and Scarlet are together and Mad and Dylan are together but as the story progressed it became clear that all of these characters were drawn to each other although, there is some tension between Scarlet and Dylan When they all make the decision to come together things aren t perfect Each of them has a backstory and as the challenges with Eden begin to make a larger impact on each of them, the stress of their situations create some issues.I have to admit, I think of the group, Dylan is my favorite His struggles with his feelings as well as his drug addiction are something that I find interesting and I really wish we had gotteninformation on all of this One of the things I had an issue with was the way his addiction just disappeared while everything was fine between the group and they only mentioned it once I m not sure if the group was just afraid to bring it up or if it was something else but regardless, it felt like it was just a mention when in fact, it appeared to play a big role in Dylan s life and how he coped with everything I also liked learningabout Mad and Jade Both of them have a history that as the war with Eden moves forward, puts both of them in harm s way and while Mad refuses to accept the role he was born into, Jade is the exact opposite and embraces who she feels she needs to be, even if that means distancing herself from Mad, Dylan, and Scarlet I also have to say, I liked how both Mad and Jade revealed pieces of themselves to the group that they have kept hidden from others It was a definite show of trust and I believe it helped them to make decisions about their lives.Scarlet is a question mark for me still I don t feel like I know anything about her and I don t know if that is just because I don t remember her from other books or what but either way, it means I wasn t completely sure of her with this group I will say, I liked how she clicked with Mad and how protective she was of Jade I know she is on the fence with Dylan and maybe that s why I am on the fence with her Overall I enjoyed this installment of the series I am still on the fence about the relationships that include multiple partners don t get me wrong, I love how they all find each other but I m not sure how the long term relationship will work out As for the story of the sectors and their push against Eden, I am super excited to see what happens next I always love when Dallas and Lex are included in chapters and the off shoot chapters are always interesting as I like to see where the other characters are tying into the existing story I am looking forward to the next book in this series and seeing what s in store for everyone If you haven t started this series yet and you like dystopian and erotica, definitely consider it Thank you to the authors for the review copy

I am absolutely blown away by the seventh book in the series I know that my review will most certainly not do the book justice in any way whatsoever If you read my reviews then you know that I didn t really like Beyond Innocence but hey no pain no gain and you have to read it before you can read this book as it adds a lot to the overall plot of the story And this was an even sweeter read because of that fact Ms Rocha creates a dystopian world beyond my expectations It is I am absolutely blown away by the seventh book in the series I know that my review will most certainly not do the adds a lot to the overall plot of the story And this was an even sweeter read because of that fact Ms Rocha creates a dystopian world beyond my expectations It is gritty, hard, lascivious, raw and fucking intense From the first book I was hooked and each one got better and better I really don t know how they do it I can only assume that their other halves really benefit from it as well The world building is superb and I know that there have been some complaints about not knowing where it takes place but for me that is the best part of the series.I can use my own imagination as everyone uses their own and they get their own personal Sectors and Eden This series isn t for everyone There is kinky fuckery and I loved every moment of it Personally as it is so out of the box and borders are crossed I can see why it is a great success Although each book concentrates on a certain couple or in this case couples The overall plot and story was explosive There are four protagonists in this book 5 Not so twisted, any Glorious Stars Maddox, Sector One s lost son of a prophet, who can t be what his people want him to be Not after what happened to his mother, what he had to endure and to what lengths he lost his father He loathes himself that he could become a martyr without even trying hard At a young age he fled for Sector Four and joined Dallas O Kane right from the start Maddox has never let himself someone he has always let them move on Scarlet, a street rat from Sector Three, she is unapologetically herself She is protective, dangerous, and stubborn and she has trouble written all over her She has lived a hard life but she has lived her life she lost a lot after the bombing of Sector Three With a huge heart, with enough room for all of them She is forgiving and takes the negative with the positive Doc, or Dylan who grew up in Eden where you don t have anything unless you pay the price After two tragic losses he turns to self medication But boy is he in silver fucking fox territory I have a thing for men who are silver foxes A doctor, a good doctor nonetheless he was a tool for Eden to torture citizens He might not have the tattoos but he is an O Kane He is on a self destructive path if he continues the way he already is He needs to care for people not as a doctor butas a nurturer Jade, one of Sector Two s finest courtesans and another spy A wealthy spy at that Who can spill bucket loads of secrets and is wealthier than anyone ever expected Jade or Jyoti came to Sector Four with a drug problem but beat it She is stronger than she thinks she is Jade out of all of them has the strongest character development throughout the book. They all have their weakness and they complement each other Mad Dylan have an intense relationship and what they get say in words to one another they show with the actions that they make They are explosive together But they wantspecifically with two sexy ladies Jade Scarlet also have a relationship, they also want to be with Mad Dylan but how do you bridge that difference A twisted fucking game, Dylan murmured That s what you called it You want to drag them into it for real Maybe it s only twisted if they don t get a chance to play it They balance each other out Scarlet Mad are the light It s who they are Sweetness and light I want to see them shine together But there is Jade Dylan who are on the other side What are you afraid I ll see Too much darkness, or not enough I wouldn t worry at all if I was sweetness and light, like Mad or Scarlet But I m not and neither are you There are so many beautiful moment between all of them that it is hard to list them all and the in depth meaning that they have for one another with just typing quotes down from the book There were moments were my heart broke for all four of protagonists but for all of the O Kane family be it Lex when she was searching for her sister Be it the news that Rachel told Cruz, Ace the O Kane family Be it Dallas giving Flash, Amira and their daughter Hanna a way out The O Kanes love without boundaries But there were also moments were I felt all hot and fuzzy So basically I am ALWAYS for the underdog We all like a good underdog story plot series and this really does deliver It has everything from pushing your limits, to realising that with people at your back you will get through all that is to come The sectors aren t fighting together any Eden will fall, they ve lostthan the sectors have Ashwin finally cashes in his favour from Cruz Ashwin Cruz Ashwin ignored the gun and ignored Bren, too I need a favour You owe me one A tablet filled the screen with a pretty, blonde and familiar He d last seen Kora Bellamy when she saved Ace s life She s in Sector One Ashwin said quietly And I need you to find her Take her somewhere safe There was no risk, no danger, no reason Ashwin couldn t have done it himself already Chilled, he stared back What else, Ashwin Hide her Don t tell me where she is And if you come back, asking Not all Mahai soldiers can mimic emotions well Not telling me is the favour Understood Cruz said Holy shite, bloody brilliant A book with Ashwin would be fucking epic This leads to it hopefully fingers crossed anyway Cruz wouldn t be telling anyone where he stashed Dr Kora Bellamy When Ashwin came looking for her and Ashwin would come looking for her Cruz needed to be the only person standing in his way.As a plot development for me I could see an outside influence approaching What is behind the Sectors Well there is a desert that is written in the book but what is beyond the desert I really have no fucking clue how I managed to write a review for this book With collages and gathering thoughts it took me about four hours and who fucking knows if it is any good and no I m not fishing for compliments I m just being fucking honest Review can be found at

3.5 starsI ve been the biggest fan of the Beyond series since the very first book and I m always desperate to get my hands on the latest instalment I don t think I ve actually read a book about a permanent foursome before but since the Ace, Cruz and Rachel triad is my favourite relationship in the series I had every confidence that Kit Rocha would convince me that Mad, Dylan, Jade and Scarlet would work together as a group Unfortunately even though I liked all of the characters as individuals 3.5 starsI ve been the biggest fan of the Beyond series since the very first book and I m always desperate to get my hands on the latest instalment I don t think I ve actually read a book about a permanent foursome before but since the Ace, Cruz and Rachel triad is my favourite relationship in the series I had every confidence that Kit Rocha would convince me that Mad, Dylan, Jade and Scarlet would work together as a group Unfortunately even though I liked all of the characters as individuals and definitely felt the chemistry between certain pairings I m still not convinced that they fit well as a whole group and that left me feeling a little disappointed with Beyond Ruin.I m having a really difficult time pinpointing exactly why this didn t work for me as much as the books in this series usually do There is no doubt that the sex is hot, in fact I think it might be some of the hottest that these authors have written yet but in my opinion there was definitely something missing I could feel the connection between Mad and Dylan, Mad and Scarlet and between Dylan and Jade but wasn t invested in the relationship between Scarlet and Jade which is odd since they were the ones who were already in a relationship before the book started I also spent a lot of time feeling like Jade was always on the outside looking in, for much of the book it didn t feel like she was as connected to the rest of the group and I felt quite sorry for her because she so desperately wanted to be loved for who she was but everyone was constantly underestimating her.Although I didn t fall in love with these characters quite as much as I expected to I still really enjoyed finding outabout Mad s past and life in Sector 1 I also loved seeing how much Jade has done to help the women from Sector 2 since she was able to escape, she never forgot the people who were left behind and has dedicated herself to doing what she can to protect those left behind In fact, Jade has become quite a powerhouse and I have very high hopes for her plans for the future Where Beyond Ruin fell down in relationship development it really ramped up the stakes in the outside world, things are changing in all of the Sectors and we re now reaching a critical point where things with Eden are about to come to a head Nothing is ever going to be the same again after certain events and I can t wait to see how this plays out.So, Beyond Ruin isn t my favourite book in the series and I m in the minority for not loving this book so don t let me put you off reading it but this is still one of my absolute favourite series and I m just as eager to get my hands on the next instalment as I always have been I m a fully paid up O Kane for life and can t wait to go back to Sector 4
