hill from there 1 Cassandra has absolutely no backbone..nonenadazip, she gives in to everything, and all the things we fell in love with in the previous seriesgone she can make one potion thats it don t see her do anything else the whole book.2 She lets her best friend Whitney walk all over her, tell her what to do, and convince her she knows best and is making the best decisions Chick Whitney practically has to wipe the saliva off her face when Nate comes around or is mentioned or thought about and you think she has your best interest in mind ..oh but wait it gets better Bff s mind can be accessed by the alpha at night Cas finds this out and shes all so the alpha knows where I am while she is trying to escape and bff is all yes im sorry but i promised i would bring you back to the coven but i wont let them have you ill protect you and Cas is like really okay i trust you how are you going to make sure they don t steal my powers and force me to bond with Nate and bff answer im a girl im different alpha can t make me and Cas is like oh okay one day later bbf don t worry you ll be safe with Nate he will protect you and Cas is like oh okay nap W.T.F i kid you not.3 Cas mates completely without her knowledge to Nate the jackass Alpha she has a crush on, but doesn t have a crush on, but then when he kisses her and mates her without her knowledge and she just goes with it even after she remembers he has a girlfriend and he says he was just passing time till she tested and becamepowerful I wanted to slam my head into the wall and throw my kindle right there First of all if you don t like someone and they kiss you you don t just go into a dreamy the mostest hottest popular blue eyed guy is kissing me I am sooooo lucky this is a dream GAG Nate s a jackass who seems to do a complete 180 once Cas proves how powerful she is and can t believe she would not want to be forced to mate with him hell with how she acts I don t believe it either the twit and Cas say I won t be forced, I don t believe any of this, your all lying then goes and takes a nap the entire book was her I don t want a mate, I want a choice, i don t believe in fate but yet she never does anything about it it was entirely frustrating.4 All she has ever wanted was to be included and feel like she is part of something normal fine whatever but she is supposedly to be the most powerful witch in like ever and she is the weakest twit I ve ever read about 5 AGAIN WITH THE WHOLE MATE BULL CRAP he completely ignores her for 8 years, goes out with all these different girls etc and your suddenly okay with it cause he now says he likes you due to you being super powerful and cause he says he was waiting for you the entire time and cause thats just the way it is in the coven and if you want to belong you will except this forced mating that he doesn t even tell you he completed and yet you never use your powers and are always rescued 6 you halfheartedly tried to escape and when I say tried I mean but uncle why do i need to run and hide boo hoo hoo i don t want to leave my friends even though they are trying to force this mating on me and steal my powers and the coven would take all my choices from me I don t want to leave my friends I want to be normal I want to stick my head in the sand and not listen to you who has protected me my entire life and yet proceeds to find a secret cabin that took literally one night before her BFF finds her and huddles in the corner whining and moaning about needing to be rescued by your aunt until the very BF who is part of the coven whatever convinces you to go back to the very people trying to bind your powers and strip them from you real smart.7 Windingobat whatever guys UGHHHH did the author literally add these evil night humans no one has ever heard about into the story just to try and make it look like Nate actually wants Cas forthan the power she will give him when they life bond OMG she did and does Cas actually, like for real, take 2 seconds and binds her life to Nate after 95% of the book was about her not having to bond in order to give him enough power to AGAIN RESCUE THE IDIOT TWIT from her OWN STUPID DECISIONS OMFG SHE DOES And like literally these Windigobat guys want to do the same thing Nate and his coven pack whatever wants to do and Cas just goes with it.UGHHH As if you can t tell already how I feel about this book but just in case. This book is a major let down HUGE let down This author had 2 series prior to this one that I absolutely loved, so to say I need a refund on this book should tell you how disappointing this read is that I don t even want it in my kindle I am super hard on this author cause she has amazing books out and for her to put this crap out.Drives me up a wall Whew Need to breathe.and take a Valium Damn it I wanted to like this book.ARGGGGG so disappointed REDO THIS BOOK FOR ALL YOUR FANS CAUSE THIS IS CRAP

3 to 3.5 stars, not a bad start to a series, a little harry potterish with a female main character I think I will continue with this series.

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers To view it, click here Cassie has grown up an outsider in her hometown Partly because no one knows who her daddy is Partly because she was raised by her eccentric aunt and grumpy uncle And finally because her powers scare the begeebees out of people She believes that if she takes and passes the test to become a witchling apprentice early she will finally find her place Instead she findsquestions and a mate that she doesn t want How to get rid of him and still take her place in the coven is her main concern Cassie has grown up an outsider in her hometown Partly because no one knows who her daddy is Partly because she was raised by her eccentric aunt and grumpy uncle And finally because her powers scare the begeebees out of people She believes that if she takes and passes the test to become a witchling apprentice early she will finally find her place Instead she findsquestions and a mate that she doesn t want How to get rid of him and still take her place in the coven is her main concern Instead she honestly should be worried about things that go bump in the night.Cassie is an interesting gal She accepts all the changes that come with being in a coven with an open mind All but one the mating parting I honestly don t get why she can accept night and day humans but not he paring of the two I felt that she was protesting too much Nate is a good mate He is kind and understanding of what Cassie is going thorough Okay, so for the last 8 years he had to stay away from Cassie but that was due to his alpha He is not only understanding, he protects her from evil and from herself Cassie makes some mistakes Things happen and she gets kidnapped not once but twice by two different groups Nate is there both times, to save the day Cassie isn t always the nicest to him I get her resentment but like the song goes let it go.The Witchling Apprentice is an intriguing start to a spin off series You do not have to read the original story to understand what is going on in the tale I didn t and had no trouble following the plot It does make you want to go back and read the original series if you go t the time Here is hoping that some questions will be answered in the next book.http readingcave.blogspot.com 2016
