I think the general theme here is about dealing with trauma Here is a simple rundown of what I think the story is about Edie and Nate are battling their own demons in this cruel world, all the darkness revels in this past and linked to their presentfor Edie but not much for Nate They both are looking for relief from the numbness that envelopes them like a mist As the name suggests the trauma that they suffered and been through drags them down from finding the light Initially the setting of the novel is in Townsville in Far North Queensland and later reaching the end shifts to Perth where Jazz from all the colours reside Written in first person point of view of both Edie and Nate, this story is about survival through the odds and finding that love can help heal Appearances can be deceiving don t I know that. Nate is described as someone who is basically hiding from committing a crime in his hometown and he ran to this new town in Queensland to start a new life but amid the chaos he is still struggling with the guilt of the crime During his work he is assigned to a certain client and then from here Edie comes into the picture and the story picks up the pace They are both survivors dealing with trauma and circumstances and all Edie is on the other hand is still suffering and has not filed a complaint against her abuser, she is mostly trapped in her relationship It is only towards the end that she makes a decision to retaliate Edie is so used to the abuse that she considers it an ordinary thing, like the time when she was forced and made the decision to stay with her abuser when she could have asked for help from both Nate and her best gal pal Sheri Edie was fun until she wasn t and that was that We are our own monsters For all the things we put out there in the world Our actions our words. Moving on, I am not really into the writing style by the author I just read through the story line, as I said earlier it was too structured, I didn t feel much, it didn t feel natural and I like authors who try a different concept each time but there she plays the same cards again fall in love run back to Nate no change in character runs again realization unraveling back to Nate It was the same concept in the previous book as well, I am seriously unhappy with this I believe variation is important in order to keep the reader engaged and enjoyof the author s work The idea is good but as usual I can t feel and thus can t empathize with both Nate and Edie Though as a character Nate wasrefined and had a better development but Edie failed miserably This book has some dark but it istowards fighting to survive the oppression be it from a man or other elements Be brave Enjoy To me, Edie was never broken or weak To me, she has always seemed like a kaleidoscope that has been thrown around a time or two. Life has its struggles that doesn t makes it okay to hurt and abuse others

All the Darkness was so incredibly written, and done perfectly with such a sensitive story line regarding domestics violence The main characters, Edie and Nate, both complimented each other fantastically despite the issues in their past that still affected their relationship together All in all, another amazing book by the talented Lo arna Green Her work is fast becoming some of my favourite reads.

4.5 starsWounded by loss, hurt, and betrayal, Nate and Edie struggle to move beyond their haunted pasts and find it hard to believe that a chance of happiness is in their future Afraid to give love another chance, they both run when their relationship gets too close for comfort.I didn t like Nate in All the Colours After his girlfriend disappeared, he slept with her twin sister, left town immediately afterwards, and then came back to town and dived into a relationship with the sister s best 4.5 starsWounded by loss, hurt, and betrayal, Nate and Edie struggle to move beyond their haunted pasts and find it hard to believe that a chance of happiness is in their future Afraid to give love another chance, they both run when their relationship gets too close for comfort.I didn t like Nate in All the Colours After his girlfriend disappeared, he slept with her twin sister, left town immediately afterwards, and then came back to town and dived into a relationship with the sister s best friend Learningabout his past in this book didn t exactly earn him any bonus points but his unwavering support and dedication to Edie throughout this story slowly won me over to his side.Aside from my feelings for Nate, I found this book to be very hard to read It s not that it wasn t well written, or the plot wasn t engaging, or the characters weren t well developed This book was all of that andIt was realistic, emotional, raw, dark and personal Reading Edie s story was difficult, unpleasant and uncomfortable This book will illicit emotions in you that will make you angry and your heart will break over and over This isn t a feel good love story but it is a story of survival and new beginnings This is a compelling and powerful read that pragmatically addresses a serious subject matter

After reading All the Colours I couldn t wait to get into All the Darkness and Lo arna did not disappoint All the Darkness follows Nate Stella s boyfriend from All the Colours and Edie, and once again I was hooked immediately The characters had depth, made mistakes and felt entirely real Lo arna has also broached a very touchy subject, one that most authors will either allude to or skirt around because it is hard to read about, let alone inmerse yourself in as a writer, domestic violence T After reading All the Colours I couldn t wait to get into All the Darkness and Lo arna did not disappoint All the Darkness follows Nate Stella s boyfriend from All the Colours and Edie, and once again I was hooked immediately The characters had depth, made mistakes and felt entirely real Lo arna has also broached a very touchy subject, one that most authors will either allude to or skirt around because it is hard to read about, let alone inmerse yourself in as a writer, domestic violence The strength needed for these characters is amazing and Lo arna has developed them so that I loved them from the beginning Just like All the Colours, if you are looking for cheap and easy love matches with no to very little story, All the Darkness is not for you if you want characters to fall in love with, cheer along for and cry for, All the Darkness is definitely for you I can t wait for All the Games

As much as I love All the Colours, All the Darkness resounded with me so muchfor personal reasons Beautifully written it was clear, crisp, and well constructed It is written in first person POV, Nate and Edie, and Lo arna Green masterfully knits their journeys together and apart interweaving supporting characters, and skillfully merging sufficient backstory and foreshadow Expect to be thrust upon a roller coaster of emotions Though I highly recommend reading All the Colours, this book As much as I love All the Colours, All the Darkness resounded with me so muchfor personal reasons Beautifully written it was clear, crisp, and well constructed It is written in first person POV, Nate and Edie, and Lo arna Green masterfully knits their journeys together and apart interweaving supporting characters, and skillfully merging sufficient backstory and foreshadow Expect to be thrust upon a roller coaster of emotions Though I highly recommend reading All the Colours, this book can stand on it s own, making it unnecessary to read book one to understand the story.I m not one to synopsize a book, but know this Sometimes we must endure the darkness to finally live within the light Lo arna Green definitely has shown how it could and can be done Keep it up you are definitely changing my views on reading romance novels.I look forward to reading All the Games

All the darkness is a fabulous read and is a sequel to All the Colours In this book, Nate and Adina both have been beaten down by life and feel undeserving of happiness There is an instant connection when they first meet It is because of what has happened in their lives that you root for them Watching them both struggle to become better is heartbreaking, but the storytelling is so great and believable that you don t mind waiting for them to get out of their own way to take ahold of what is i All the darkness is a fabulous read and is a sequel to All the Colours In this book, Nate and Adina both have been beaten down by life and feel undeserving of happiness There is an instant connection when they first meet It is because of what has happened in their lives that you root for them Watching them both struggle to become better is heartbreaking, but the storytelling is so great and believable that you don t mind waiting for them to get out of their own way to take ahold of what is in front of them
