I really enjoyed this book I have read a lot of horse books recently and this one is defiantly in the top 5 I liked how the author did not let Willa win in her first year, like many of the horse books we see today However, as much as I like this book it had its flaws One of them being that the main girl who rescued a neglected horse wins a International Championship, almost every book I read has the main charter winning something big at the end I get that it makes for a happy ending , but c I really enjoyed this book I have read a lot of horse books recently and this one is defiantly in the top 5 I liked how the author did not let Willa win in her first year, like many of the horse books we see today However, as much as I like this book it had its flaws One of them being that the main girl who rescued a neglected horse wins a International Championship, almost every book I read has the main charter winning something big at the end I get that it makes for a happy ending , but can t they not win for once and learn a valuable lesson that is ok to lose some times and that you don t win everything As much as I felt this was a good book, due to the winning thing, I give it a 4 out of 5 stars

Wonderful readI loved the characters and the plot The theme of beating the odds and hard work prevailing, as is found in many horse related stories, is so well developed here that it is not obnoxious in the least I d love to readabout Willa and Rocket.

The bestThis book is absolutely brilliant especially if your an equestrian The only fault is there is only one book in the series which is sad but it doesn t change the fact that this book is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone who doesn t have horses

Ugh godawful Filled with tons of spelling errors and simple writing Not to mention the story is FAR FETCHED, ridiculous, and lacks a fleshed out story No character development, stupid plotthis is one of those bad horse books people warn you about.

  7. Peter Jones Peter Jones says:

A well written debut story about a young girl and her small brave horse who together ultimately triumph despite seemingly impossible difficulties The author clearly has a good knowledge of her subject and she presents technical aspects of horsemanship seamlessly into the story A good, absorbing, pleasurable read.

Excellent inspiring novel I was interested and involved in this story of a young woman and her thoroughbred horse I recommend Ms Wilkenson s novels to anyone who loves horses and especially OTTBs

Maybe A heart warning story to bring the chance of a dream coming through if you are willing to give enough of yourself in order to accomplish it.
