This is a great series for reluctant readers This book follows the life of a average Roman soldier It goes into great detail about what the soldier would accomplish during their life in the army and what their daily routine would be Done with fabulous illustrations the reader can learn as much in the drawings as they can in the written words A great book for any fan of history or Roman culture

Fun history with plenty of facts some of which may be unknown to adults I didn't know there was a height reuirement to be a Roman soldier
I like the humor in history it gives
An excellent book to fire the imagination of children Packed full of interesting facts the funny pictures and suitably gruesome information makes this a sure fire hit
They don't have much of a life but back then maybe it was better than what other lives offered
