  1. John Jenkins John Jenkins says:

To those of us who feel a connection to the culture of Wales a Welsh literary anthology is a welcome concept And it is enjoyable to read most of the short stories in this first issue which feature well constructed plots compelling characters and themes and other strong ualities I particularly like `Number Forty' by Jude Johnson and `Wedded Bliss' by Jean Mead which have excellent plots `Pests' by Gaabrielle Becket is also cleverly written with a `Twilight Zone' feel to it And while the remaining stories and poems all have some robust ualities they all seem to have minor flaws that prevent them from being really memorableAnd unfortunately the editing seems weak The first story `When the Yoghurts Run Out' by Philip Stephen Rowlands is not a bad story but the narrative transitions between present tense and past tense for no apparent reason This seems amateurish Also amateurish is the uantity of other errors apparently typographical in almost every story and poem
