I loved this book I was given it cold as a prize and I had no idea what to expect From the title I thought it was a vampire book but I couldn t have beenwrong.A white witch from the inquisition in Italy reincarnates into a book store psychic in modern day USA His boring, if hectic, working life is thrown into confusion and terror when he reads for a young man with nothing in his future. The book was fast paced and I read it all in one sitting, albeit a forget about everything else for h I loved this book I was given it cold as a prize and I had no idea what to expect From the title I thought it was a vampire book but I couldn t have beenwrong.A white witch from the inquisition in Italy reincarnates into a book store psychic in modern day USA His boring, if hectic, working life is thrown into confusion and terror when he reads for a young man with nothing in his future. The book was fast paced and I read it all in one sitting, albeit a forget about everything else for hours sitting There were moment and frustrations, and edge of the seat terror as well as horrific moments when nothing major happened but my heart turned over and my stomach fluttered.I loved both main characters, although Lauro has a special place in my heart

A Hearts On Fire ReviewOdd.If I had to describe Nightwalker by A.J Llewellyn in one word, it would be odd.But a good kind of odd.Lauro, psychic, Nightwalker and main character of the story has the ability of having his soul leave his body to help others in need and heal The author gives us enough background about Lauro and his past life to keep the reader entertained He has a crappy job where he is not appreciated, a LAPD in the closet boyfriend who seems to not appreciate him as much as he A Hearts On Fire ReviewOdd.If I had to describe Nightwalker by A.J Llewellyn in one word, it would be odd.But a good kind of odd.Lauro, psychic, Nightwalker and main character of the story has the ability of having his soul leave his body to help others in need and heal The author gives us enough background about Lauro and his past life to keep the reader entertained He has a crappy job where he is not appreciated, a LAPD in the closet boyfriend who seems to not appreciate him as much as he thinks he does and a client who he couldn t get a read off of Something that has never happened to Lauro before And for good reason because Lauro received his first premonition of said client s murder This story is not bogged down with a major case of suspense, it s there but not saturated The author focuseson Lauro, his past, present and future lives to beexact. The author gives detail to the history of Nightwalkers and the trials they suffered in 15th century Italy This story felt like the author did the research history lovers should like that The crime is solved with the help of psychic Lauro I was happy with that But there s a but somewhere, isn t it always , there were a few things that held me back from giving this story a higher rating.1 The story felt a little flat in places We d have a non central character introduced with little need to add to the story So instead of a smooth ride, the story stopped and went at places.2 Madrigal The boyfriendI didn t like him as much as Lauro did He cam off as jerkish at times for petty reasons After seeming fine with Lauro being a psychic in one chapter, in the next chapter, he gets pissy and calls Lauro weird This also ties in with my first issue of no full consistency But the one area where Lauro and Madrigal had no issue with Sex The scenes were hot and pleasure filled.3 And speaking of sex, there was a scene when a ghost popped up in the bedroom He was a voyeur but not in a hot way It creeped me out a little. But even factoring the few concerns, the story is an interesting one This was a first time read for me from this authorit won t be my last THREE A HALF STARS

Sicuramente originale, ma ho avuto la sensazione che la storia fosse incompleta I protagonisti sono interessanti e singolari, ma conosciamo poco di loro e ancora meno della relazione Un peccato, anche se sono curiosa di leggere altro di questa autrice.

The idea that previous lives can haunt you, or that things from the past can return to make you miserable, yet again, is fascinating to me This story is full of mystery and unsolved riddles, as well as a grisly contemporary murder that needs solving I loved how all those different aspects came alive in this book But it is also a story of great love, tested by the fact that Lauro is not exactly your average guy As such, this story is a wonderful combination of the paranormal and the everyda The idea that previous lives can haunt you, or that things from the past can return to make you miserable, yet again, is fascinating to me This story is full of mystery and unsolved riddles, as well as a grisly contemporary murder that needs solving I loved how all those different aspects came alive in this book But it is also a story of great love, tested by the fact that Lauro is not exactly your average guy As such, this story is a wonderful combination of the paranormal and the everyday life we all know. Please find my full review of the second edition on Rainbow Book Reviews

This novella is a fast paced fiction In overall it s a solid, even if a bit to undeveloped, storyline I liked Lauro and Madrigal as a couple, but as an individuals we didn t get to know them better At least the end is satisfying and positive I m sure, this story could be longer.
