My GR friends know that I LOVE books with an assassin as the MC When I saw this title the first time, my eyes have almost popped out because of my happiness Unfortunately, this book didn t work for me at all, I needed to bite my tongue, skim the pages in order to finish it I gave it 1 , because I said that any book has an assassin, get 1 from me automatically.I can only say These guys were the lamest assassin s in the history of assassinations There were a lot of things I don t like in the book I tried to write down the WTF moments on my statue update but I gave up on it there were just too many Since my English is bad, I cannot tell much about the writing But, there were some very long sentences that I needed to reread it 2 or 3 times until I got its meaning For example, 39% into the book The sound of Jason drawing in a deep breath as he lowered his head all the way down until his nose met the dark hair at the base of Declan s length caused him to open his mouth slightly and moan Things I didn t like, there were too many, I didn t take note of all of them, these are what I still remember view spoil...

Warning on spoilers Now this was a book that brought some confusion and disappointment while reading it I did not enjoyed this even though the theme had potentials of being great Badly written, lacking on details, jumping from scene to scene without letting you living them and mostly it gave no ways to emotionally engage with the characters No connection whatsoever I started the book and finished it and the characters were constantly strangers to me.The story starts with Rhys He is a young man working in a fish market There is not much background about his life beside the fact that his boss is his best friend s father An incident at work leads Rhys into killing his best friend s cousin while saving someone s life The boy he saved take s him at a friend s house in order to hide and that friend takes him at another friend s house Yes, confusing isn t it So many characters that have no significance are thrown in the plot and vanished with amazing speed that let you wondering From now on the story jumps and Rhys meets Evan the last friend Evan is a cleaner , he s one of the best out there, because no one has seen his face and no one knows what he does for living What I found very strange was the fact that Evan, not only lets Rhys in the secret, but he actually takes him in the job and let s a complete amateur making the kill, simply based on the fact that Rhys accid...

The blurb pretty much gave the whole book away so I m not going to worry too much about spoilers What the blurb didn t mention was that there was cheating And no, cheating isn t alright just because both MCs wind up in a triad with the cheatee So what the b...

A Joyfully Jay review DNFIt seemed like an incredibly interesting premise But the execution simply wasn t there for me At all In just the part that I read, I encountered numerous problems The writing was stilted and jerky The characters were flat and one dimensional Nothing worked for me in this book and I couldn t engage in the story at all It was a true struggle to read even the half of the book that I did.Rhys doesn t make any sense He barely reacts after having killed a man He takes help from strangers without worry or care He has never thought of being with a man, and in fact believes it to be a sin, but the moment Evan makes a move on him, Rhys gives in and enjoys it Even the sex was mediocre at best because the characters had no chemistry whatsoever.Evan is actually a little bit better drawn, as we understand immediately his dedication to the job and seeing it completed But honestly, I didn t understand him either He s ...
