I would've preferred this to be a series with each book representing one story the mother told the child

Published in 2012 concept book about dreams This book discusses different types of dreams and what happens when we are sleeping I think it would be fun to bring into a classroom of younger students and talk about dreams and if they had any dreams the night before or something having them picture dreams they've had so they can work on their imagination and visualization

Not a fan at all At least not for kids The book has creepy not whimsical illustrations Throughout the story I as well as my daughter thought it was the mother telling stories Apparently it is not the mother it is night that sits on the bed Overall my daughter was creeped out than needed I will not be reading this again Why? Did this book win an award?

I thought the illustrations were lovely and dreamy My six year old declared loudly that this was the MOST BORING awful book he's ever read I'm not sure that's truebut we returned it immediately back to the library anyway lol

This was a little dark and abstract I’ve seen a few story books in this style lately they are sweet in an artsy way but probably not as appealing as traditional styles at least not to me I found this one a little indulgent the illustrations are absolutely beautiful if potentially a little unsettling in some areas and the story introduces dreams as a kind of mothering companion which I found endearing It took me a while to realize it was dreams I was reading about but maybe that’s a good thing It’s a sweet book worth checking out but not a favorite

This book is beautifully intriguing The writing is rather complex and strange But it felt like something might have been lost in the translation
