I am actually very surprised at the amount of five star reviews this book has garnered After reading them and the book s description I was super jazzed about the book but unfortunately, the quality of the writing forced me to give up on it only 20% in For example Sitting on my balcony, I watched the sun ride sic this morning It was sort of nice I got no sleep last night, just like the nights before Not one wink Thankfully I was off work today Kerri had given me the day off so I could rest It was Sunday and my Aunt Paulina and I had plans to eat breakfast together today and so on or Dallas I just can t let you take me home I feel fine now I can drive myself I have to go or I danced up the stars to my apartment I was wasted drunk on that kiss and I felt so good Dallas really liked me I couldn t believe it The stilted structure WHY SO MANY SHORT SENTENCES reads like someone s poorly written diary about their uninteresting life. Also, Sloat uses dialogue to give the background to the character s lives and it comes off as unnatural For example You re right Avery it sounds crazy But I just think how weird it is that you haven t slept it all for three months straight You lost your mom at a young age You never had a father figure in your life I think it s all catching up to you This book needed some serious editing and tightening up There were multiple typos in the version I read the Kindle edition, I can t vouch for the hard copy including an appalling your vs you re mix up.

Isn t that always the way As soon as the guy you ve been crushing on starts to show interest in you your husband from a past life shows up wanting to rekindle your love affair that has already spanned numerous life times I mean really, the vows say til death do us part Dude, move on already But it won t be that easy for poor Avery Snow Instead her normal life is turned upside down in a wild journey through past lives, soul eating dark angels, breathtaking Angels fighting for good, and a cranky old man sent from Heaven to watch and protect Avery Obi Wan Kenobi style This novel has a premise that is cleverly original and ends with the teasing possibility of to come I, for one, would love to see these characters come back for another installment

Warning I have a lot of books to review so this is not a full review It s of a snippet of thoughts This should not be called The Many Lives of Avery Snow It should be called The Many Tangents of Avery Snow I lost place in the story several times simply because the author would go off on a tangent and then her tangents had tangents By the time we got back to the main story line I couldn t remember what was important any The grammar and sentence structure is terrible, and the punctuation is random My biggest complaint is the lack of knowledge on the proper use of comma, AND the run on sentences were terrible Some sentences just kept going and going with no end in sight and you wonder if someone had to read this out loud, where in the sentence is there a place for them to breathe, because the author didn t use any commas By all appearances there was no proof reading done before publishing. The premise is sadly lacking as well Perhaps if the idea behind the story was stronger the story would be stronger I won t be reading the next, or any others from this author for a few years I d like to see some growth before I try again If there was some way of giving zero stars I would have done so There s a lot of growing to be done with this author.

Now I am reviewing my own book because I want to say that to write a book is super hard and it takes alot of dedication I had dreams of doing this since I was a little girl And I did it YAY Now some of you will not like it, and that is okay I do read the bad reviews with perspective But I do see readers putting authors down a lot Bear in mind we work hard for our accomplishment s and although we enjoy your fresh perspective it can bring us down.As for the awesome five star reviews, all I can say is, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU I will not give up I have growing to do as an author Avery Snow is a character that I cherish Thanks so much everyone for reading it and giving it a chance.

The premise, while super scary, is not Biblically sound I m stating this because Heaven and angels play a very large part in the plot of this story When using concepts from a religious work, it can be jarring to those who read and respect that work to see ideas from it used improperly The idea of the book is that there is such a thing as reincarnation and that every time this girl come back, one of her past loves comes back too, TRACKS HER DOWN, and takes over as the romantic lead in her life, regardless if she really wants him or not SUPER SCARY, props on that Ok so far, but they are reincarnated after a stay in heaven Which is apparently in an eternity with your family unit, spouse included.Sorry, but there is no marriage in heaven And heaven isn t about us, it s about God God didn t really figure into the picture in this heaven Ok, maybe not the God or heaven of the typical Judeo Christian background But then angels Who are pure until they directly contact the one they are watching over, then their feathers change colors And they care about who you end up with romantically Nothing important for angels to do with their time I am sorry, but the discord between the idea of heaven and angels and reincarnation took me out of the book too much to enjoy it 2 stars, because the idea of a stalker throughout multiple lifetimes is unique and CREEPY This isn t one I would recommend to others, unless the issues I had with it wouldn t bother them I didn t find it horribly written, but I didn t gel with the religious aspects of it.

From the first page I was drawn in to this book and could not put it down I quickly fell in love with all the characters in this one of a kind book For me it was like no other I could feel Avery s pain of losing her mother and her father deserting her You could feel the frustration of being in love with 2 guys Through the whole thing I couldn t decide who I liked and by the end I was hands down team Landon It truly makes you think about your past lives and the people you have met along the way I am so excited that this is a trilogy and can t wait to see what comes Avery s way next She is such an amazing character Best book I have read in a long time A definate must read

And those who loved before will be brought back togetherThose who loved before will be brought back togetherAnd so they say baby for everything a reasonAnd so they say baby you will be broughtBack to me. WOWZA Those five lines by Carina round is the perfect description to what The Many lives of Avery Snow was all about for me Ghosh , the story and the characters in this book were MASSIVE I loved every character , even the bad one s STRANGE ME HUH So lets get on with this review before i forget what i have to actually talk about The Many lives of Avery Snow is the story of Avery , a girl who s been through a lot of pain , agony and loss in life as a little girl And whats worse is that her life has nt gotten any better as an adult Strange things have started happening lately Strange dreams , insomnia , feeling of Deja vu and cold sweat To make matters even weirder , two really hot guys Just imagine the blood rush that is felt when you cant seem to decide what or should i say who is it that your heart wants What if its both because they both are important in a way that one can truly understand only by reading this book What is going on with Avery Will she ever understand the things that she will be witnessing Who will she choose What does destiny has in store for her Will she be able to learn from her past and not make the same mistakes again , or would she succumb to her hearts desire and change the course of events The answer to all these questions lie in this journey extraordinaire , that is the many lives of Avery Snow.Cover speak Beautiful cover , very very pretty to look at It describes the base and the foundation of the story in a very unique When i looked at it , i was like , wow , is nt that very thought provoking I absolutely loved it Its serene and at the same time it gives you a feeling of loneliness , pain and sorrow Maybe thats just how i saw it Things i really loved about this book 1 Christy Sloat s writing style I m not a huge fan of authors who love beating around the bushes with concepts and ideas and theories They make simple things look so damn complicated , to read them is almost as tiring as climbing a mountain Not only that , they slow down the flow of the story , thus making the reader lose interest in the story But Christy s writng is quick and perky Geez , i dont even know if its the right word to use here , but i felt it would describe how i feel about it Anyways , what i really admired about her style was that her explaination of whats going on in the story is so simple , that it doesnt take a long time to figure out what she is actually trying to convey Also the language is pretty simple ans easy to follow , in other words YOU DONT NEED TO SIT WITH A DICTIONARY I mean i dont mind learning new words and meanings and all but sometimes it just gets too much to handle really frustrating I also loved how she kept the flow of the story going on , not wasting too much time on just one thing Theres so much happening that the reader is sucked into the story immediately Also there were some pretty interesting twists and turns that i didnt expect In short i love Christy s writing style , i m a fan from here on 2 Chain of events Right from page 1 i was hooked onto what i was reading I was trying to anticipate the turn of events and how the author would use the concept of REINCARNATION in the story Like i said earlier , i loved the pace at which the story was progressing Just when you thought you cant understand whats going on , it felt the author mind read your confusion and manages to answer it with ease 3 Characters I dont know if i liked Avery or not I mean , she really is not one of those MC that has a problem with accepting what nature has in store for her or what her life is all about But i just dont see her as my fav MC , probably because of the way she treats one of the male characters Clears throat a certain Landon Speaking of whom , i just loved Landon s character I would totally say this without shame , If definitely want a boyfriend husband like him Ohh the things he does and has done for Avery , i cant even explain As a reader i could feel his anguish , his sorrows , his need and love for Avery that travels across generations , dimensions and timelines What love , it bought tears to my eyes And thirdly , the other important male character Dallas , Avery s love interest I dont hate him or dislike him or anything , but he is nt Landon Enough said There are other certain other iportant characters too without whom the story would definitely be incomplete NOW to the messy part , things i didnt like Just one thing , the ending Dont get all panicky here , let me explain When you are reading the story , the end just zaps your heart making you go , Oh come on what the hell , thats how i reacted But then i thought , wait you dont have to disheartened The book ai nt over yet , its a trilogy so we are sure to expect twists ans turns as we move along That statement right there has given me hope that i might just see what i want to see I know i sound all cryptic , but you will have to read the book to understand what i m talking about The Many lives of Avery Snow was definitely and most absolutely a heart warming story The emotions in this story are truly playing the right nores making you sing your heart out Recommended to everyone who wants to escape from the clutches of Vampires , werewolves and all the usualness of what we read normally You would not be disappointed , its definitely worth the shot

The Many Lives of Avery Snow is a great story I have to say after reading the Novella I understood a lot in the story when it came to Ianni This is the first book in the series and I have to say it started with a bang and the series is totally going to be EPIC In The Many Lives of Avery Snow we meet Avery who is a 26 year old woman who has suffered so much loss in her life Her father left the family when she was young and her mother died a few years later leaving Avery to be raised by her aunt Paulina Avery lives a very simple life that most would call boring and full of nothing but Avery has suffered so much she prefers to be alone Avery has a job working at Sunrise Estates where her boss Kerri is her best friend and one of the patients she cares for Lucy O Shea is her best friend She loves seeing Lucy everyday and spending time with her That is until one day Avery goes to check on Lucy and Lucy dies in Avery s arms Before Lucy dies she tells Avery that a man is looking for her from her past and he will stop at nothing to have her. That is when Avery begins to have these vivid dreams that wake her up She hates sleeping now because she never knows what she is going to dream about Then she meets her spirit guide Ianni Ianni decides she is going to help Avery out because the guy looking for her is not what he seems Ianni shows Avery her past lives and tells her about the man stalking her dreams and her soul As Ianni is talking Avery starts to have flashbacks and remembers who she was and who she spent time with The man she spent time with wants her and he wants her to love him and for some reason before that happens something always happens and Avery never gives her love to him Ianni will help Avery chose between good and evil because the dark spirits are hell bent on hurting Avery. What will Avery do Who will she chose to give her heart to What will happen to Ianni Will Ianni be able to help her This is a must read story for all those angel lovers out there
