Where Dreams Unleashed set the tone for an action packed adventure, Guardian of Time does not disappoint From the very first page I was caught up in the story Not only does it pick up right where Dreams Unleashed left off, but it picks up the action from page one I was hooked from the very beginning, unable to set it down Literally, I carried my Kindle into the kitchen and read while I prepared my lunch and ate it It was THAT GOOD I read this book in one sitting. The pacing is very fast th Where Dreams Unleashed set the tone for an action packed adventure, Guardian of Time does not disappoint From the very first page I was caught up in the story Not only does it pick up right where Dreams Unleashed left off, but it picks up the action from page one I was hooked from the very beginning, unable to set it down Literally, I carried my Kindle into the kitchen and read while I prepared my lunch and ate it It was THAT GOOD I read this book in one sitting. The pacing is very fast the dialogue crisp Ms Hawley also elaborates a littleon Ann s special abilities as she is sucked deeper into the web of rebellion against our controlling government Convinced she will fight the good fight, Ann is soon swept away from America and into foreign countries in a whirlwind of travel and danger Most important, Ann is ready As her purpose comes to life, so do those of the immediate people around her.Shocked by betrayal on one hand and acts of intense loyalty on the other, Ann finds who she can trust in this story But will they all give their lives to protect her and her amazing gifts Will she be able to save the world I guess that s what we ll learn in Book Three

I started with The Guardian of Time, then read Dreams Unleashed So by the end of book 2 I already liked the heroine and very much disliked all the scumbags she had to deal with So when those folks are introduced in book 1, I already had a bias against them I guess that s why things should be read in order The first thing that stood out for me was how smoothly the story moves along We might be moving three or twenty three years back and then forward again and there is absolutely no stiltedne I started with The Guardian of Time, then read Dreams Unleashed So by the end of book 2 I already liked the heroine and very much disliked all the scumbags she had to deal with So when those folks are introduced in book 1, I already had a bias against them I guess that s why things should be read in order The first thing that stood out for me was how smoothly the story moves along We might be moving three or twenty three years back and then forward again and there is absolutely no stiltedness between chapters The pace is quite good It s not so fast that you get to the end wondering what you ve just read There are no huge shocks that cause you to put the book down to deal with rough imagery As I was reading these I could totally see Ann Torgeson being interviewed by George Noory on Coast to Coast AM I ve been involved with Transcendental Meditation since I was 15, so I had no trouble identifying with Ann even though I found myself a bit envious of some of her experiences.Exchanging freedom for relative liberty is like exchanging water for relative humidity After the September 11th attacks we were encouraged to do just that Now, nearly 11 years later we have rules, regulations and and government agencies imposed upon us without our consent These are topics that might be sensitive to some people, especially anyone who is in favor of what s going on in our culture regarding privacy and freedom Hopefully reading this trilogy will cause all of us to revisit our opinions about the way things are I ve very much enjoyed reading these books and I look forward to the third installment

Guardian of Time by Linda Hawley is the second book in The Prophecies series The story continues to follow Ann as she tries to discover the potential of her paranormal powers and seeks to improve the world In the first book of the series you are introduced to the characters in a wonderfully in depth way that makes them seem like old friends when you open up book 2 There are also several minor characters that become much larger parts of Ann s life as this story progresses If I try to go into Guardian of Time by Linda Hawley is the second book in The Prophecies series The story continues to follow Ann as she tries to discover the potential of her paranormal powers and seeks to improve the world In the first book of the series you are introduced to the characters in a wonderfully in depth way that makes them seem like old friends when you open up book 2 There are also several minor characters that become much larger parts of Ann s life as this story progresses If I try to go into the plot I am almost guaranteed to include spoilers for this book and the first so I will refrain from doing so I will say that getting to know Chow as a larger part of the story was very interesting and he is undeniably my favorite character of this book.Linda continues to tell the story at a perfect pace Keeping the information flowing as a part of the story so there are no hiccups in the middle of the chapters Chapter heading continue to give a location and year to make the flashbacks easy to follow as well as being extremely informative The biggest appeal of all is that the book takes place in the very near future with current day references making the story easy to visualize and seem frighteningly realistic The end once again will leave you hanging, and personally I cannot wait for the thrilling conclusion to the series Well done once again Linda

I thoroughly enjoyed aspects of this book, and didn t really enjoy other parts The best parts were the settings, and the relationships and dialogue between characters I didn t really like developments that Ann s talents took. The settings were vivid, exotic and magical Every setting was described so it felt like I was there experiencing it in person The locations jumped off the page and made the book easy to fall into. The relationships and dialogue that Ann had with the other characters were I thoroughly enjoyed aspects of this book, and didn t really enjoy other parts The best parts were the settings, and the relationships and dialogue between characters I didn t really like developments that Ann s talents took. The settings were vivid, exotic and magical Every setting was described so it felt like I was there experiencing it in person The locations jumped off the page and made the book easy to fall into. The relationships and dialogue that Ann had with the other characters were every realistic and entertaining Ann and Bennett s friendship bloomed late, and every interaction was entertaining and fun Ann and Chow had a very easy friendship I was a bit thrown by Ann s constant play punching, but the actual dialogue was both serious, fun and enjoyable. My main concern with the story was the development of and extent of Ann s talents It just didn t ring true believable with me I think my main issue had to do with the completely realistic and current setting, contrasting with Ann s talents I just couldn t buy into them.Overall, the story was still enjoyable Quite a few of my questions from the first book were answered in this one But again with the uber cliffhanger ending Why must you do this to me

I went straight from reading Book One in this Trilogy to devouring this book, and I am chomping at the bit, wishing I could move as quickly into the third book The Author left us at a major cliff hanger, and the only light in the darkness is the assuring line that she ends her author note with, this story is, as I believe all stories should be, about hope That is a paraphrase as I don t have my kindle with me at the moment, but the gist of what she said stuck with me.I love stories about psy I went straight from reading Book One in this Trilogy to devouring this book, and I am chomping at the bit, wishing I could move as quickly into the third book The Author left us at a major cliff hanger, and the only light in the darkness is the assuring line that she ends her author note with, this story is, as I believe all stories should be, about hope That is a paraphrase as I don t have my kindle with me at the moment, but the gist of what she said stuck with me.I love stories about psychic phenomenon, and that is originally what attracted me to these stories of a Woman whose dreams matter, on a current, world wide, political stage Then there was the element which both frightens and gives me hope, the real, current events and the knowledge that we have rights and the responsibilities to fight to keep the rights our ancestor s died to give us I care about the character and I hate leaving her alone and not knowing where she will end up next And she will make you care about having the right to care about yourself and humanity

I thought that Guardian of Time was a very engaging story In this second book there is good closure to some of the mysteries of book one, but enough open questions to lead well into the third book The author s writing in the first chapter was stealor The way she described the events in the airplane seemed authentic I liked what s happening with the lead character, Ann She is evolving and as she understands her potential, she is utilizing it selflessly I liked the significant scene with Sin I thought that Guardian of Time was a very engaging story In this second book there is good closure to some of the mysteries of book one, but enough open questions to lead well into the third book The author s writing in the first chapter was stealor The way she described the events in the airplane seemed authentic I liked what s happening with the lead character, Ann She is evolving and as she understands her potential, she is utilizing it selflessly I liked the significant scene with Sinead, and how she seemed to evolve I liked the sailboat trip in the San Juan s to Canada I wish I was doing that right at this moment I liked the imagery of India and of her travels as she has to leave The book was full of surprises, especially about Paul The ending was fantastic It is truly a story that gets you thinking Linda Hawley is gifted in describing beautiful imagry as Ann travels through perilous obstacles and a corrupt encroaching world
