This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers To view it, click here Oh good grief I want that two hours back There s the seed of an interesting tale here, but the execution backfired so badly that Ol Screwtape had to be involved The idea of using the historical Hellfire Clubs as a basis for the story is interesting enough But why move it from the UK to the Southern United States And then why engage in the worst of southern stereotyping in the process Do the producers of this series think that everyone below the Mason Dixon line sounds like a combination o Oh good grief I want that two hours back There s the seed of an interesting tale here, but the execution backfired so badly that Ol Scre...

Yikes This is wretched It s as if someone decided to find out how many tropes could be stuffed into a story that already involves a time traveling alien called The Doctor In no particular order 1 amnesia, 2 demons, 2.5 demons that feed off of negative feelings3 a Holy order with magical powers,4 science beyond the time, 5 an alternate reality with a 51st state coming into being in the US,6 titillating misogyny were women are forced into being negligee wearing hostesses with men who...

Ok the accents were AWFUL but I also kinda think that was the point This was definitely not an audio to take seriously but was definitely a parody of American culture Televangelists being secretly evil, politicians being secretly evil, medical researchers being secretly evil, satanic conspiracies, white sexual slavery and of course a Buffy parody there to save them all The fact that the Americans had gotten the history WRONG and that their Hellfire club was actually trying to summon the devil Ok the...

Oh dear, this just won t do There is some great stuff about the identity and nature of the Doctor, occasioned by him being found in an amnesiac state, and a great moment when different aspects of his psyche are downloaded into multiple human minds, but not enough is made of this Most of all, having Charlie and the Doc spend most of the story unable to recall who th...

So for the long time i have been worried about this story as i have heard terrible things about this story And was it good or terrible as the reviews say Well it s kinda both The story itself is not too bad Part 1 starts good but drags in many parts And did not need to be 45 min long Part 2 is the same But it s not as bad But starting with Part 3 it s gets good And the ending is very well done Plus the accents are horrible in this story Some of them are even worse than Colin Baker s So for the long time i have been worried about this story as i have heard terrible things about this story And was it good or terrible as the reviews say Well it s kinda both The story itself is not too bad Part 1 starts good but drags in many parts And did not need to be 45 min long Part 2 is the same But it s not as bad But starting with Part 3 it s gets good And the ending is very well done Plus the accents are horrible in this story Some ...

Not spectacular per se, but quite a fun little Faustian romp none the less The Doctor stuck in a nut house, the Brig, Charlie running around in nighties and leather corsets, daemons and some serious mocking of fundamentalists and corrupt politicians There s a whole lot for me to love Some of the accents weren t great but in my opinion anyone talking in a southern accent sounds like a tool and the Daemon was a little hammy, but it s okay Decent, if not particularly imaginative story with so Not spectacular per se, but quite a fun little Faustia...

This is one audio that people love to hate They often point at the mediocre American Accents, and somewhat camp ish moments, but honestly I think that makes it so much better Now I love me some camp, not too much or it starts to get annoying and shows a disinterest in the writing, but just a little that comes from the production I find to be quite charming and light hearted I think this light heartedness and goofiness was a perfect mixture with the rest of this dark and depressing audio Feat This is one audio that people love to hate They often point at the mediocre American Accents, and somewhat camp ish moments, but honestly I think that makes it so much better Now I love me some camp, not too much or it starts to get annoying and shows a disinterest in the writing, but just a little that comes from the production I find to be quite charming and light hearted I think this light heartedness and goofiness was a perfect mixture with the rest of this dark and depr...

The state of Texas has been split in half the new state is called Malebolgia and is currently run by that lovable insane asylum owner Brigham Elisha Dashwood III Currently he has an amnesiac Time Lord in his care, who oddly enough doesn t really work well with his mind sucking machine if I remember it correctly it is because he doesn t have enough digital storage for it For some reason Brigadier Alistair Gordon Lethbridge Stewart is there, but initially fails to help Our Time Lord as he has The state of Texas has been split in half the new ...

In this Eighth Doctor adventure, the Doctor has amnesia for 3 4 of the story Nicholas Courteney shows up as our old friend The Brigadier, Also guest starring are Foghorn Leghorn and Yosemite Sam or, at least that s what it sounds like I know that there are British actors who can play American accents so well that audiences are surprised to find that they re not actually from the USA Andrew Lincoln and Lauren Cohan have successf...

Leave me be, don t carry me back to hell, I m awfully trepidatious about Hell, you know McGann s performance in this one was amazing The whole story was a bit weird sex slavery, amnesia, possession by demons, and lobotomies But that aside, and I m just going to ignore the rest of the play as it was pretty ridiculous, I was very impressed with various specific bits of the story.I wondered if the Doctor s amnesiac performance was a call back to the Doctor Who movie, in which the 8th doctor di Leave me be, don t carry me back to hell, I m awful...
